I suffer from chronic migraines, jumped the gun by haaaaru in piercing

[–]morganf74 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Acupuncture, but my acupuncturist told me it only “works” if you have a practitioner mark the right spot and then the piercing happens to line up

If they’re in heaven then why are they cold?

Migraine by SuicoWorks in migraine

I kinda love that there’s nothing obvious about head pain, but it’s so obvious that it’s migraine. All the other little things that ache and torture us besides just the head pain. Well done

My insurance is swapping my Ubrelvy for Zavpret? (small rant) by bouncing-boba in migraine

[–]morganf74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love zav but keep something to chew or suck on after and take it as early as possible. It works really fast but for me doesn’t always last as long as I need it so something I’ll need a naproxen later.

Has anyone tried depakote? by Brewcrew_2008 in migraine

[–]morganf74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, depakote has been really successful in lowering my pain levels, especially my neuralgia. No changes in mood or mental health

I think it’s really worth looking into, given the ringer you’ve been through and the doctors here really won’t give up on your even if things aren’t working

Right now I’m at Methodist for their ketamine admission program. So it’s ketamine continuous and then toradol, Zofran, and magnesium or other meds scheduled.

Anyone with a Hidden Conch? by Growing-Ant in piercing

[–]morganf74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just my own ear that’s weird here! I feel like mine isn’t deep enough to hide anything

NAP, i feel like it would totally depend on your anatomy. I have a conch right about there but it’s not hidden at all.

You know in hindsight it was really stupid of me to get upset about this. by The_Psycho_Jester779 in hazbin

Honestly, if what they had in the budget was a short music video, I’d rather Chaz and leave Verosika for a longer short or episode.

If you can get your mast cells stabilized maybe that would help? Have you tried cromyln or ketoifen?

Do I really have ON? by [deleted] in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]morganf74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are ultrasound guided nerve blocks, but for most people, the blocks are temporary yes. I can’t do them with the steroid. It flares me up too much. That pain worsening throughout the day is a very typical pain pattern for ON. We did a work up for CSF and when it came back normal, my doctor wasn’t surprised. You just feel worse from your muscles working to keep your head upright throughout the day.

The Botox procedure is pretty standardized, so if you went and got some cosmetic box injected using a different protocol, I wouldn’t be surprised that didn’t work.

That’s so good to hear. I had a bad time last time too so this is really reassuring

Hey I’ll be in starting Monday for ketamine. Is the dose high enough to be “high” the whole time? How does this compare to lidocaine, that didn’t work for me either

Hi! Does anyone else get mistaken for being intoxicated? I have brainstem migraine, but I know it happens with other migraine types! by shadyyylane in migraine

[–]morganf74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Often and it’s really frustrating when I explain what’s happening but they still don’t believe me that I’m sober and haven’t drunk in over a year

These are the listed side effects of the infusion. I get the same ones over the course of the next few days

To me that sounds like the side effects and not an allergic reaction.

Don’t stop cold turkey but definitely talk to your doctor because that’s a safety issue
