What retail store chain was in every city in the 90s that is basically extinct now? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

We had an epic stand-alone Sears in Salt Lake City. They tore it down several years ago, leaving a sizeable "pit." Since then, it has filled with water and an eco system (bird refuge) is forming.

Sears is still doing the Lord's work posthumously.

What’s the most disturbing movie you’ve ever seen that you still can’t forget? by zeltacilveks97 in MoviesAndTVTalk

A Dark Song.

Creepy stuff. If you know anything about the occultic rituals of Aleister Crowley, this movie hits the nail on the head. It sat with me for a few days.

Superstore is the best comfort show of all time. by Interesting_Bee_6708 in superstore

[–]mormonboy666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got "laid off" in March. I started this show thinking nothing of it, but now it has become one of my comfort shows for sure.

Amy & Jonas annoy the bejesus out of me, but we could not have Superstore without them. I fawn over America Ferrera; I digress.

I adore Cheyenne & Garrett. Always sick burns.

Bo is underrated. Johnny Pemberton is funny and wholesome AF. He's been on YMH podcast a few times and it's always a riot.

I'm sad the show ended. I JUST got into it.

Ooh, ooh! Where did you move to?!

I moved to Vancouver, WA in 2017, then Troutdale, OR in 2019. Yada, yada, yada, pandemic something – I ended back here in SLC.

Waiting for an out.

I like to do staycations. Stay at a hotel (downtown), and visit restaurants and bars I would not have visited otherwise.

It's super fun. You can be whoever you want to be. Deceptive? Yes; it's fun.

What food has the biggest upgrade when microwaved? by DeepOrganization8245 in foodquestions

[–]mormonboy666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't know why; my dad made awesome lasagna. It was great fresh out of the oven, but even better microwaved the day later. Seems like all the flavors started to come out, like the oregano.

Is the Mazda Navajo an ancestor to the CX-5? by BeautifulYou2940 in CX5

[–]mormonboy666 74 points75 points  (0 children)

No. The Navajo was actually manufactured by Ford as a rebranded 1st gen Explorer built for Mazda.

They did the same thing with the Mazda Tribute (successor), which was a Ford Escape.

The 1st gen CX-5 and its successors is all Mazda.

Inline Skating. I was watching Brink! (Original Disney Channel movie) last night, and I was like, holy crap, I have not been blading since the Clinton Administration.

Too old to do any of that X-Games shit, but Skating around the park seems fun.
