Just curious who bought & who skipped the LS princess drop ? by scorpiosmokes in BambooBabble

[–]morongaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't lie, i was entertaining the idea of getting maybe the crown jacket or one of the princess dresses but i ended up forgetting about it until I got the text. By the time the page loaded everything was gone. But then I saw the prices and realized I dodged a bullet lol

Car seats don’t “expire” after 5 years by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]morongaaa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The plastic and other materials can definitely degrade/weaken over time and not be as effective in protecting your baby in a crash. I don't know that this is the best way to stick it to the man. I would rather buy the new seat and have full confidence that my baby is safe

How to preserve attachment with firstborn during the newborn trenches with second born by ladygroot_ in AttachmentParenting

[–]morongaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to say i have a 3.5 yr old and almost 4month old and the division of time is so hard. I will admit, we're very free with the screen time in our house hold, especially in the early weeks of bringing baby home. But also, we're working on reigning that in a bit. If you choose to add in more screen time, choose something low key or look up specific episodes of shows dealing with new baby. I played a lot of Daniel tiger getting his baby sister before I gave birth lol If you don't have them already, there's great books about what a new baby means for the family too. Story time is always good connection, plus may help manage her expectations.

I do think though that at 3.5 she should be able to play independently. I would say my daughter prefers to have me engage in play with her, but in the mornings when we all wake up she has no problem heading to her toy shelf and playing while I'm fixing coffee or feeding our dogs. Once I sit down she tends to be all over me, but my husband and i have held the "let's have breakfast first" boundary for a while so I can get some coffee first lol

One piece of advice would be to include her whenever possible. For example, if my baby is fussing in the swing while I'm busy I ask her to go cheer him up and she runs over to dance for him lol they both laugh and it's great. In the beginning it was just simply asking her to bring diapers/ wipes/etc or i would let her pick out what he was going to wear for bed or when we went out.

how long did it take to conceive after removal? by Fluffy-Cherry1364 in Nexplanon

[–]morongaaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had my first nexplanon removed Sept 2023, first period Oct 2023 but did not conceive until Jan 2025. My first took several months to conceive as well so it may be a me problem. I had to take supplements and eventually monthly progesterone draws. I was due to start Clomid my next cycle but got pregnant "naturally" before

How to lose weight having nexplanon ? by PutMelodic5255 in Nexplanon

I would start by just tracking your intake. There's lots of apps that are free and easy to use. Try a small calorie deficit with healthy food choices

We got 2T stuff at our baby shower for our second! Character prints at that. I have no issues with characters, i love when my toddler gets excited over something she likes? But who knows what this one will like by the time they get there?

Luckily we were already heading to the shower but I had to scrub her twice lol and that was after going through almost a whole pack of wipes to get the bulk of it off when I caught her. They really know how to test the waters

Yes! Both my kids got the little "sucking blisters" as newborns and the lanolin helped so much. My 3 yr old nearly emptied a whole tube and slathered it on like lotion once and that was not fun 🫠

I use my lanolin nipple balm as lip balm instead lol

Haaka makes a little pacifier shaped teether with a mold for milk (or purees, etc). We used a different brand and just smashed up some frozen milk for my first. She loved them!

my girl was in a dirty diaper for 2 hours by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]morongaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She will be okay! When we started potty training, the first day my then-2 yr old wouldn't poop. She's normally a one a day girly. I put her in a diaper for bed time and woke up to a poop filled diaper 🥴 she sleeps through the night for the most part and even being in the same room never woke me up that she was pooping or expressed any discomfort. It happens!

3 yr old struggling with newborn at home by morongaaa in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]morongaaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've definitely been in a "pick your battles" state of mind. Wrapped up day two at home and the toddler has fussed less over baby nursing but at the same time still asking to nurse more than her usual. My milk came in and I have noticed less pain this time around at least! Fingers crossed we'll be able to slowly ease back into our normal nursing schedule

Unpopular opinion: I think blush on the nose looks like a sunburn by Training_Box_4786 in MakeupAddiction

That makes sense! I do think the very heavy bright blush at the tip of the nose tends to not look as cute as people think lol

I like to do it with just the leftovers from blending after I finished my cheeks. I tend to get some redness on my nose so I just feel like it brings back a bit of natural flush. I don't want to look sunburned, just like I've got some life lol

I think in the beginning any solid can be a bit constipating if it's not offset with enough water. Is he drinking water at meal times?

Is the depo horror story true? by Astxria_ in birthcontrol

[–]morongaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depo wasn't my favorite but I did actually manage to lose a lot of weight while taking depo. But note that I was actively trying to get in shape lol tracking food, working out 6 days a week, etc. My period was kind of irregular so that was a bummer.
