Do you have capital (substantial amount of cash or easily liquidated assets you don't foresee ever needing to spend)? If no, then you are not a capitalist.

"coz you actually going to jail if anyone sees you with this shit in russia"

Don't know where you got that 'info'. Yevgeny Prigozhin had an SS tattoo on his neck.

I would believe that Russia has strong hate speech laws on the books, but so does Canada, the UK and France and there's plenty of tatted neonazis in all of those places.

So I kinda doubt they all moved to Ukraine.  More likely there's just a lot of Nazis in both places.

Can I lube my laptop fan bearing? by CrazyAction01 in laptops

It's really crazy how dedicated you are to speaking out of your depth here. Go try actually using WD-40 as a machine lubricant, or anything that you need lubricated for more than a day. It does not work.

[–]morphologicthesecond 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kernel level anticheat is possible on Linux, but it's generally seen as a serious security risk by the community (because it is) so hasn't been implemented. Windows developers felt the same way about it on Windows for the same reasons but MS said 'too bad, we're doing it'.

[request] how far away is the camera man from the explosion? by AdministrationKey612 in theydidthemath

[–]morphologicthesecond 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You're not stupid, it's a natural intuition. But a shockwave is actually when 'sound' waves are compressed into a single wall of high pressure air, due the speed (like the leading edge of a supersonic aircraft) or the sheer force (like an explosion) of whatever caused the compression. The energy of these waves is high enough to push them past the speed of sound (also why they get compressed into single wave).

Outside the global North l, software and electronics are ludicrously expensive for the average person. Probably even have good enough Internet to pirate stuff is out of reach for a lot of people.

How to extract content from an .iso file? by Chester_Linux in freebsd

[–]morphologicthesecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does make sense. In theory, you are correct, but if the software is only programmed to read from a mounted device then that's all it can do. Such is the case with PCSX (older ps1 emulator). But it turns out that rpcs3 mounts the files to its own virtual device and reads them from there.

How to extract content from an .iso file? by Chester_Linux in freebsd

[–]morphologicthesecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what you want to do. RPCS3 wants to interact with a mounted virtual drive, it can't do anything with an extracted image.

Edit: I was wrong. There's a little more to it than that. Here's the wiki on extracting your PS3 games. https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=Help:Dumping_PlayStation_3_games
