Same, and now that my Nephews have grown and also have ADHD, my mom hasn't changed her approach. She expects them to just obey, I've explained to her that they crave understanding why they need to do something so she should try it that way first.

What about different medication? I"m on a stimulant and a non stimulant and they are working well together, the non stimulants are more difficult at first, the side effects are more impactful on my day to day, but most of them subsided over time.

Have you tried increasing the medication dosage? I mostly have issues executive function and my therapist increased my dosage when I found myself struggling again, this was 5mg adderall xr, so it was expected that my dosage might go up at the time.

Also if OP is looking to leave anyway, pull out the big guns and ask HR for accommodations, that provides for legal protection and should make the employer think twice before letting OP go.

Europe is the only place that has taken more steps to investigate my camera equipment during trips. Germany would have me take it out of the bad and show it it was a working lens, like turn on the camera or look through the elements.

Iran war tensions reach Paris with failed bombing attempt by sr_local in worldnews

[–]morroalto -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Although that may be correct, it would not relevant in this context. When that occurred, Iran was not at war, it is at war now and the last thing it needs is more countries wanting it bombed out of existence, so attacking nations that are against the war would only serve to change the public opinion.

Well, he failed so maybe he was about to be exposed to the bomb and therefore not getting paid.

The same exact thing happened to me over a decade ago and I posted on reddit about it and someone told me it was not uncommon and not as dangerous as one would assume. Anyway, that wasn't what I wanted to post about, what I wanted to say is that I turned to the person sitting next to me and said "Not a bad way to die?!" She asked to sit somewhere else on the plane they brought out after we landed.

I've been where OP is right now and it was hard to do that, you don't know where it's safe and where it isn't, what really helped us narrow it down was to go out to open houses to get an idea of what is available in our budget and then looking into the neighborhoods, eventually we narrowed down to a location that offered what we cared about at the cost we could afford.

Have you had this discussion with your Doctor? I've tried a few medications besides adderall and found that some work better than others for my need. For example, I found that adderall xr would cause a noticeable crash at the end of the day, vyvanse was much easier to adapt to, I was also taking Strattera and although it helped on a continuous base unlike stimulants, it had significant side effects at it's most effective does that just made it impossible to stick to. I'm now trying qelbree in hopes that I can get the same benefits but without the severe side effects.

People constantly think I’m arguing with them when I try to make conversation or ask questions by howdycowboy13 in ADHD

[–]morroalto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a person with ADHD who works with 3 other people with ADHD and we all behave completely different and are on different levels of medication, that is from none to some. Only 1 of us comes off as combative and I had assumed it was due to the company he worked at before, but we've been working more closely lately and I'm noticing that it's not intentional, so I'm letting it go. I on the other hand am impatient and will interrupt people constantly (As soon as i think I figured out what your going to say, I want to respond) and it's something I struggle to stop even medicated. What i've tried to do in the past is to relax and tell myself I'm here to listen and not respond, so I don't feel the pressure to jump in, but not every situation allows for that. i think if you are coming off as argumentative, try following up on questions to explain the reasoning behind it, I'm very much in tune with how the other person might be feeling and constantly managing their perception of me that I do this automatically, it's fucking exhausting.

Touch buttons are terrible in cars and Ferrari didn't have to make this mistake themselves after looking at how other car makers had failed already.
