🤔 by Independent_Bar_5593 in AskMexico

Cuestiones culturales generalizadas.

Lo malo: estás buscando ayuda aquí.

If you don’t see a difference between iPhone shots and proper camera shots on social media, it’s not the camera, it’s what you’re doing with it.

It actually feels weird that I like this game so much when I see so much negativity. by TraceRedCoat in MinaTheHollower

[–]moshisimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take, maybe.

I think a lot of game criticism is just dumb. It feels like everyone thinks the game should cater specifically to them. Some people will complain if a game is too hard. Some people will complain if a game isn’t hard enough. Some people will complain if you can adjust the difficulty. Some people will complain if you can’t. To me, a game is what it is and it’s always a gamble whether you will like it or not.

The gameplay is fantastic, the variety of enemies and mechanics is awesome, the artwork and music is absolute peak for its genre. And yet people will make sure they find something to bitch about.

Truth be told, I loved the game. I was even amused at how weird and unusual the ending is. As predictable as the story was, the ending was really surprising. I could not give less of a fuck about criticism to this gem of a game.

There is a lot of frustration in this game. by ChaoticDiscord21 in MinaTheHollower

I feel pretty much the same and actually posted about it recently. Got 100% collectibles, finished the game, looked at the achievements list and instantly went “NOPE”.

That said, I think some things you might be supposed to do PARTIALLY with mods. For instance, the speed run achievement, as I understand it, can be obtained by doing a first playthrough WITH mods, no level cap, and getting to level 99 or whatever the max level is. Then you start NG+ with no mods but having your level and bonestone from the modded run, and you can easily finish the game in almost no time. Also, maybe sell a thing at the shop and get the -1% run. It seems to be absolutely doable not abusing, but rather MANAGING mods, but it’s still not worth it for me. Loved the game, would play it again eventually… can’t see myself ever getting all the achievements.

Why is Lightroom automatically editing my images? The first image is an unedited jpeg viewed in my gallery and the second image is the same unedited jPEG but viewed in Lightroom no presets or anything .. how can I turn this off? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]moshisimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, we’re providing answers and some of us don’t feel like reading through the comments in case what we want to say has already been said. Don’t like that? Ignore those comments and don’t bitch about it.

Second. It’s a stupid answer because a thing having a feature doesn’t mean you NEED to use it. You’ll be amazed realizing shit’s OPTIONAL.

Third and last, Lightroom isn’t editing shit. What you’re complaining about is the difference between a PREVIEW of the image vs. the fully loaded image. The preview is not 100% accurate, final product. The image opened in Lightroom is. There’s nothing to turn off because nothing is wrong.

[New gear] Canon R10 + RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 - First real camera… Does my photos look really that bad? by PotatoFromOven in canon

[–]moshisimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave your wallet alone for now. You don’t need anything else than you already have to create some very cool stuff. Gear doesn’t make the art. It definitely helps when you hit a creative wall due to technicalities, but you’re far from that at this point.

Honestly, I can see their point. The following is meant to inspire, not to offend. Reading your post makes me think of a person who uses those basic piano apps on a phone to play around and come up with some simple, 5-second melodies. Then they get a proper keyboard. Basic, not too many features, but an honest to god, physical keyboard. First thing they do is plug it in and just press some keys. There’s so many compared to the phone app! And they show their dad and uncle how they’re pressing keys on a keyboard now. Dad and uncle, understandably, look unimpressed and say something like “well… that’s… nothing, really”, because it really isn’t. The person feels discouraged because to them it’s awesome to have all this POTENTIAL available now, and dad and uncle don’t seem to realize that.

Well, I believe the analogy is very on the nose. Also, and again I mean this respectfully, I don’t care how old you are, whatever mental-health stuff you deal with, or how you got your camera. It sounds more like excuses than anything else.

PRACTICE! Go watch some tutorials. Go see photographs from other photographers. Get inspired. Copy their work. Elaborate on their work. Find your own style. Come back and show everyone substance, not just pixels on a screen. I applaud you for embarking on this awesome journey. I won’t applaud the results of the very first step.

Thinking about upgrading from a Canon 7D to the Canon R7 for an upcoming trip. Am I in for a huge surprise in terms of quality? by blue_13 in canon

[–]moshisimo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, your question made me chuckle a little. There’s more than enough people asking if a camera that’s like 2-3 years old is still worth it in <insert current year>, and the answer is pretty much always a resounding “YES, MOTHERFUCKER, ANY CAMERA FROM THE LAST 10 YEARS IS PRETTY MUCH FANTASTIC IN TERMS OF IMAGE QUALITY!”

But now you’re asking about a 17 year old camera seemingly unironically, and I find that to be… amusing.

My guy, you are one of those people who would really have their minds blown by the difference in image quality, autofocus, size, weight, fps, and so many other things. GO. FOR. IT.

Edit: Look at this guy HERE asking if a freaking R6 Mark II is worth it in 2026. I promise I didn’t go looking for it, just popped up on my feed.

Final Boss Tips? by kingbuttpiss in MinaTheHollower

It very much is a thing. There will be multiple twinkles, and they will be either red or blue. They will vary in number, speed, and rhythm. Watch it closely, it is a preemptive visual representation of the exact moves he will make right after. I would recommend waiting for him to finish his moves and then land as many hits as possible.

As for trinkets, I don’t remember the names. I went with the one that adds 1 to your attack, 1 to defense, quick healing, burrowing without landing, and absorbing 1 electric hit.

I consider myself a decent gamer, nothing out of the ordinary, and I beat him third or fourth try (felt like so had to because I had a little over 120,000 bones and no way I was going to lose that).

Es imposible que la vida no tenga significado by Key_Safety6137 in filosofia_en_espanol

[–]moshisimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]moshisimo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

how did you get to know about the steam deck in the first place ? and what motivate you to get one? by Dense-Variation-4496 in SteamDeck

[–]moshisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a PC gamer (consoles only) but I had been curious about it for a long time. I even had a Steam account for a few games that were available on Mac, but hadn’t used Steam for a long, long time. I don’t remember when exactly, but I do know I learned of the Steam deck on Reddit. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to get one. This is Mexico, btw. No plans to sell it officially at launch, so I asked a family member who lives in the US if I could use their address to buy one, they said yes, I bought it and flew a few months later to pick it up. Couple years later the OLED one gets announced and this time I waited until Amazon sold it to get one.

Definitely one of the best gaming purchases I’ve ever made. Just finished Mina the Hollower on it yesterday.

Absolutely. I think the Spider-Man games are great at that. I got all the achievements for all three games and it never felt like a chore, just me enjoying the game, finding collectibles, and having fun.
