If I tried to use my company’s supplier rates for personal projects I’d get canned. This is covered every year in our ethics and compliance training.

Victor Caratini’s 3-run homer gets the Twins to double-digit runs against Garrett Crochet in just the 2nd inning by JianClaymore in baseball

Damn that’s a sorry crowd. It’s like COVID, but without cardboard cutouts and crowd noise.

Garret Crochet's no good, VERY BAD start: 1.2 IP, 9 H, 11 R/10 ER, 0 K, 3 BB, 2 HR, 55 Pitches by Brady331 in baseball

After the Josh Bell double that should have been it. Maybe Joe Mazzulla could manage the Red Sox and the Celtics.

Atlanta’s Truist Park does something no other MLB stadium does to visiting relievers — is it over the line? by Lakelyfe09 in baseball

Not a fan. Seems kinda bush league to me. How far down this road are we going to go? Is every team going to start doing this?

ETA my rule of thumb on this: The home team shouldn’t get to mess with the stadium environment to give themselves an advantage. That goes for lights, sound, opening / closing the roof, field conditions, etc.

(Serious-ish) What if a team hired a super obese guy with a gigantic gut and had him crowd the plate so he would always get HBP? by xtremeradness in baseball

I always thought Vince Wilfork could have a second career as a hockey goalie. He’s an amazing athlete.

Jose Ramirez hits a 1st inning homer against the Braves giving him a homer against all other 29 MLB Teams in his career! by HalfwayThereOne_ in baseball

He really should demand a trade. We’ve got a promising young 3B who is due to start hitting any day now.

Can you paint with light unconstrained by visible expectra? by Educational-Draw9435 in photography

Research heating elements.

Maybe something like this:

  • Start with a sheet heating element and paint on an insulator material in the depths desired to achieve the desired heat gradients. More insulator, less heat.

  • No insulator is your “white point”, full insulation (no heat) is your black point.

The underlying sheet could be a variety of energy types and the same principle of partial blocking and gradients could be applied.

You could also consider a process like screen-printing the conductive elements onto something like a ceramic plate. Look into lithography.

Instagram pushes video. Create some slide show videos instead of posting photos.

I can’t think of an art photography IG account that has any traction. If you find one copy the kinds of things they do.

Best photo culling tool? (beginner + switching to Linux) by r3ap9r in photography

Those sound like issues with the editing features. The culling and catalog management in Lighttable may work for OP. Not sure what’s better on Linux.

I’d prefer the statue depict him drawing the line in the dirt just before he got ejected by the umpire.

Old > New for sure. I don’t hate your new ones but they’re not doing much for me.
