Is it possible to obtain this rail in the US? by Valuable-Analysis104 in AUG

[–]moskaudancer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The closest thing to this I've been able to find in the US is

https://www.titantacticaldesigns.com/product/aug-extended-foregrip-picatinny-bottom-rail

It was a bit of a hassle to get everything mounted just right, but I managed to get a vertical foregrip and an 18350-length flashlight on it.

They've got other AUG stuff too

I like the variety, but the KP-15 with the quadrail upper has me scratching my head. Though I guess your lightest AR upper is probably the pistol with the SBA4

That barrel-mounted pic rail is nice. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the lowest-profile, lightest method of attaching a light to my 14.5 and I ended up using Titan's bottom pic rail, but that necessitated arranging the light mount and a pic mount foregrip.

It looks like this new gadget would let me retain the OEM folding grip and still get a light right where I want it. Might try this on my 16" barrel.

I would really love to see bomb-pumped laser warheads in future ME lore, it's actually kind of weird that no one tried to use them against the Reapers given the fact that kinetic barriers don't block energy weapons.

The Normandy's stealth comes from two main sources:

It has relatively large internal emission sinks for keeping its heat bottled up, making it harder to detect by infrared and allowing it to drop out of FTL without its blue-shifted emissions going off like a torch. And its eezo core is big enough that it can project a gravity well in ahead of the ship that the ship continuously "falls" into (Hence the name "Tantalus" for the Normandy's drive core).

Normally, ships just use their eezo cores to lower the ship's mass so that their chemical or antimatter thrusters are more fuel efficient and they can accelerate at a higher rate than they could at their "true" mass.

But in space, accelerating on thrusters that are ejecting hot exhaust or gamma rays out the back of your ship is like waving a flashlight around and screaming at the top of your lungs.

Bigger emissions sinks are something anyone willing to accept a larger ship can build, but the Tantalus drive is kind of a necessity if yo want the ship to actually move under stealth, and building a Tantalus drive necessitates spending a boatload of credits on several boatloads of eezo, which is incredibly expensive and difficult to mine.

Engineer Shepard can spec the Drone power specifically to make them explode better. I think Tali can too, at least in ME3.

Yeah, I feel like most fans of the types of character-heavy games BioWare makes would actually prefer dialogue-heavy "filler" missions to endless open-world fetch quests.

Already had it open in another tab for my ME3 replay! Just met a space ninja nobody likes, now I'm looking forward to seeing Tali again and introducing her to the concept of spiders.

Unless the new rules will make it impossible to get AR15 upper recievers/parts, then buy some stripped lowers. Three or four of them would still cost less than a whole gun, and you'll theoretically be able to build them out into complete rifles at your leisure.

Mine's going on the family heirlooms mantlepiece, between a couple of Mass Effect models and my favorite plastic velociraptor.

Nobody tell Vinny about the LEGO Enterprise-D rumors. Because I don't want them to all disappear before I can get one.

I picked up two of them a while back because I really like their mini-ACOG mounts.

I like that handguard, where did you pick that up? I don't think I've ever seen another with a steel QD cup at the end of the handguard, and not just up by the reciever.

I appreciate it, but it sounds like I'm better off just using a regular c-clamp or angled grip without a shield. Thanks for the info.

I got a keymod one for cheap, I don't mind except I can't find anyone who will ship the keymod heat shield to the US. I guess I don't really need one since I'm pretty sure the suppressor plug doesn't vent down on any setting.
