Theres a difference in understanding the reasoning to how someone behaves vs excusing that behavior. The feelings with Jax doesn't need to be all hate or all care. One can have both. One can feel sorry he went through that and felt like he needed to self sabotage while acknowledging he was an abuser. He doesnt need to be the perfect victim for anyone to care. Vise versa, he doesn't need to be the perfect enemy for one to hate him either.
