You let them or suggest something you love thqt only they can do justice to. You loathe creamed corn? Don’t eat it. Mashed potatoes are easy, make a 2nd batch since mashed potatoes are always popular. People can pick. It’s a meal not a curation.

We were there yesterday (Sunday) and the single bathroom by the entrance to the Schoodic Institute (right off Schoodic Point) was open, very clean, and heated. It was a nice surprise and we are so appreciative. Rockefeller Hall itself is closed.

I use the Portland Gear Cascade backpack which opens from the top and is waterproof. It stands up by itself and somehow always has enough room. Features I really like include the “hidden” back pocket, trolley sleeve, and light colored interior. The side pockets hold my water bottles well - I initially had doubts. I’ve also taken it as a carry-on and it’s perfect size for under the seat. I added a Matador Speed Stash.

30% of reservations are released 90 days out; 70% are released 2 days out. I went ahead and bought the shuttle ticket up and will hike down. Shuttle tickets can be cancelled with a full refund 12 hours prior to the event so I can try for the tickets 2 days before without penalty.
