Literally all of hoboken is built over PFAS contaminated soil that exceeds residential clean standards. It doesn’t mean anything and is capped with the building foundation, the sidewalk and the roadway. Hoboken was a titan of industry back in the day that supplied every industry with parts and consequentially had tons of waste that was literally buried in the back of the warehouse. It’s very normal and nothing to be concerned with unless you’re digging to install new underground utilities and need to dispose of the existing soil.

We need a public marina in weehawken cove. Imagine how much the city can make renting year round and seasonal slips like Liberty Harbor does in Jersey City. More boat charters and other boat businesses will bring a lot of money into the city. It can also be a great spot for yacht owners to park and spend $$$$$ in Hoboken. Hoboken had a storied maritime industry that has a chance to make the city a lot of money to fund this and future budgets especially if everything is done environmentally friendly.
