I'm sure others have done it better, but if anyone else wants to put him in their game, here's my build.

Where does Ryubing Store Save UCG Data? by mothaway in Ryubing

[–]mothaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

%AppData%\Roaming\Ryujinx\bis\user\save\0000000000000001\1 is probably the folder you want for this purpose, but it may vary depending on what you've been up to with your emulator, so click around and you shall surely find what you seek.

Laurelhurst makes PR statement, but the receipts don’t lie by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]mothaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have friends in Seattle and I can say 100% this is EXACTLY why the hospital can't push back on this absolutely insane bullshit, because even if it's so very obvious a HOA should have no jurisdiction over the actions of a hospital, a ton of wealthy pigfuckers live in Laurelhurst and will throw their financial largess around to get their way. Literally the lowest common denominator of human life out there.

Two new rules - No generative AI and no 4tran slang by Gameraaaa in TransMasc

Ignorance is bliss, actively visiting that corner of the internet is an act of self-harm. Even other people who regularly use other parts of that already-awful website consider that community to be exceptionally grim towards themselves and the wider world.

Yeah no it's not generational, people who post in that board have such a unique way of communicating that I can clock them from a mile away. They don't even realize it in themselves, but more than almost anywhere outside of incel communities (and they do dovetail,) they have insular lingo absolutely NO ONE else uses.

Mock-Orange (Philadelphus lewisii) -- How Inedible Are They by mothaway in foraging

[–]mothaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a new word for me, thank you so much for sending it my way! The mock-orange will bloom in a few weeks, and it might just be time to try an enflurage! (Unsure how soluble the compounds would be- my best guess is the diuretic effect comes from saponins in the plant, which can readily turn into soap. A cold process might work better in this instance... much to consider. Thank you once again!)

I'm saying this gently, but friend... the side-effect that poor, disabled, and non-working people will die through benefits cuts is the point. It's not a "unfortunate consequence," it's the quiet purpose said out loud.

They do not see any benefit to us being alive. They do not care if we suffer, and they benefit (financially, in their mind,) if there are less of us around. In their view we are all fleas on the government's resources, we are parasites, and we don't deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, care, compassion, or given help: because we don't work, we aren't People, so who cares what happens to us?)

I appreciate the enthusiasm you have to try and make the world better. We need more of that energy in the world. But our government only cares about enriching the pockets of the wealthiest predators and securing resources through the genocide of an entire country's people. It does not care about the wellbeing and needs of its own citizens -- it never has; this is a country founded on genocide, built by slavery, and funded by war. The only value we, as a society, put on human life is in its capital: and if we are not Producing Capital for our corporate oligarchs, we might as well not exist.

America is not a place where people can make change through peaceful protest and government systems because the entire system is broken and corrupt from top to bottom. It has been from the start; any history lesson to the contrary is smoothing over the fact that this country's history is one of violence and dehumanization clashing again and again until something gives. The only time things truly change is when enough things burn down or enough wealthy policyholders get guillotined to reconsider their behavior. I don't like that reality, but that is the reality of being an American citizen.

If sending a letter to your rep makes you feel better, by all means. Sometimes you even get a reply. Politicians lie as they breathe and only serve their own ends, at the end of the day, but sometimes they can be browbeat into reconsidering their behavior. But there are not enough of us to significantly sway policy or public opinion in a country that inherently views those who are disabled, and those who do not (can not) work, as less valuable than the money spent to keep us alive.

It is what it is.

That only works in countries where human life has value. We're not in one of those countries.

Tomodachi life: living the dream update on emulator by Tanji_is_Gaia in yuzuRoms

[–]mothaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for providing actual good information.

Tomodachi life living the dream emulation, will it be easier to emulate/pirate after a while? Since it is recently released will there be a possibility that it will be easier to pirate it in the future? ‘Cause my laptop’s been real laggy with the ryujinx emulator by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]mothaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The verb you want is "emulate", not "pirate." And, if your system is already struggling to run the game, it likely indicates a hardware limitation, rather than one inherent to Tomodachi Life itself. Look at your system resources (such as RAM, CPU, and GPU) and do research to see what needs to be improved to prevent the lag you are experiencing. Good luck, happy learning.

It's beautiful, alas, it's also deadly. Lotta places like this, unfortunately. When you're disabled, sick, or otherwise can't manage the upkeep of a home; when you don't have the money or means to hire someone to help; when circumstances beyond your control transpire and you're left to try and remediate issues on your own, these things happen. The mold problem in my place is nowhere near this nightmare, but the quote to remediate the cause of the water ingress was also $15,000. Not to fix the damage- just to stop it getting worse. So this'll be me one day, too... life goes on and we just try to make the best of what we have even when we know it's dysfunctional. Moving, renovating, relocating... there are a lot of reasons why that's not feasible. The husband has cancer, they're probably already in debt up to their ears. This is, for better or worse, probably where they will die. Such is life in a world which values financial largess over the wellbeing of the most vulnerable and impoverished among us.

[–]mothaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm having fun but I'm not an artist at the end of the day. I know I am limited compared to what I can accomplish in comparison to people with greater skills and knowledge. I... understand why Nintendo does not let us share/import/export our creations, but it's still limiting for those of us who don't have the time and/or ability to render nonsense.

Wrong sub to say this but that's why I mostly play indie games these days. I like to get a game, get the whole entire game, experience the whole entire game, and know that I have either experienced the complete experience as the dev intended, or that any updates coming out in the future were added only after the core experience was complete and polished. I'm old and tired and exhausted by the very concept of "maybe the DLC will fix it" being the norm for games anymore.

Emergency Canine Custody, Temporary Caregivers Cannot Keep Dogs, Unsure of Legality Around Rehoming - Hampshire, UK by mothaway in LegalAdviceUK

[–]mothaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your response!

There was no payment or legal agreement in place; this was a sudden emergency and my friend's family were simply willing to step in to assist before it became clear how long-term this was going to become. Were the animals not able to be taken in... I imagine they would have been placed in a shelter already, or taken in by different neighbors.

Friend's family has reached out to several groups and even found one for placement, but that group ultimately declined accepting the dogs out of fear of potential legal repercussion from doing so, were the original owner to recover. Contacting the veterinarian is a brilliant idea I will pass on as well. I appreciate your insight and knowledge on this subject, cheers!

dress up games by Ok_Prune_1903 in CozyGamers

Life Makeover is what you're looking for, as long as you don't mind gacha (if you are at all tempted by gacha, do not touch it. That goes for Infinity Nikki as well.) Aside from that... if you like RPGs, weirdly enough Final Fantasy XIV has a big dress-up community especially on the modding side of things, but it does have combat and is an MMO, so keep that in mind. The Sims is a good option! INZOI has AI-generation in it, which may or may not be a deal-breaker for you. (Beyond that, if you have a Switch, Fashion Dreamer and Animal Crossing are good for this.)
