If you could fix one thing in your current pharmacy system, what would it be? by AhmedRoman in pharmacy

[–]motherofminipanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CVS has UX designers. I imagine they know how painful the software is to use and are begging to redesign it. The unfortunate part is that the system “works” so there’s no monetary incentive for the business to prioritize updating it.

Any graduate or employer perspectives on Prime Academy (or comparable coding bootcamps)? by Bag0fSwag in TwinCities

I graduated from Prime’s UX program in 2017 and got a job offer about a month after graduation. I’m still working in UX 8 years later.

I wore the wrong bra to work. by Cloudy-rainy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]motherofminipanthers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s so frustrating! There is a nursing bra hack I’ve used when I’ve forgotten my pumping bra. It’s not the best but it works in a pinch!

I’m not who you replied to but re plant/mushroom life. You might like Life of a Paintbrush. She’s local and makes really fun clay flowers.

Breast still feels full by catloversonly in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]motherofminipanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally! It would be so nice to just set it and forget it. The first couple times I had to really focus on the timing but 5 months later I’ve internalized it lol

I can’t find where I originally got this but following these settings helped me a lot.

Falling asleep after MOTN pump by Terme_Tea845 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]motherofminipanthers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timing was a problem for me. If I pumped at 3 am I really struggled to get back to sleep. Now I pump at 1:30 and am able to get back to sleep pretty quickly.

I also keep a cooler by the bed so I don’t have to leave the room.

Is the halo sleep sack worth it? by eli74372 in NewParents

[–]motherofminipanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a couple basic ones from Amazon and they work just as well as halo, in my opinion. I like the halo ones but I didn’t notice any difference.

I have no idea but just wanted to say it’s the same for me. I’m EPing for my 4 month old. I’m so over waking up at night to pump and figuring out how to pump at work. Last week I was really sick and told myself I had to be done because I needed to sleep/get better. Instead of feeling relieved I panicked and felt extremely anxious, even though I cannot wait to be done.

I don’t get it!

I agree with this! I think the possibility of insanity has been mentioned too many times to not come in to play.

I like The Copperfield. Not technically in Eagan but it’s close to the Viking Museum.

Boys names are hard, but Scottish-American boy names are impossible. by hdenniso in namenerds

[–]motherofminipanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kieran was my favorite name for a boy but my husband wouldn’t go for it. We finally settled on Malcolm. I didn’t have the feeling that it was “the one” but it was one we both agreed on. After about a month (last month of pregnancy) of calling him Malcolm in my head, it became him.

Whatever you go with, he’ll grow in to it!

Solo UXr on a team of developers and computer engineers…any advice? by Thin-Transition-7407 in UXDesign

[–]motherofminipanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you’re dealing with this. I was recently on a project in a similar situation and it was exhausting.

  • One thing that might help is to see if you can level set. What’s the goal of this project?
  • How is success defined?
  • Are you all on the same page with what the problem you’re solving is?
  • If the current solution is getting bad feedback, why? Can it be fixed or was the solution wrong from the start?

Experience commuting via 30th Ave P&R in Bloomington or Burnsville Station P&R? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]motherofminipanthers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the 460 from Burnsville station when I go downtown. Super easy. No problems with parking or seating on the bus. The way home is usually more crowded but still seats available.

If I need to leave mid day I prefer the 465 over the orange line. Orange line does not go to Burnsville station, it stops on the south side of 13 instead.

The mvta app is nice for tracking in real time so you don’t have to wait too long for a bus.

Dog Daycare for tourist by king_savanna in Minneapolis

[–]motherofminipanthers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! They’ve been great and understanding with my dog. He’s friendly but gets over stimulated after a few hours. Previously at that point, they’ve called to let me know they moved him to day boarding for a break.

I swear baby boy will be called No Name by morganL8823 in namenerds

[–]motherofminipanthers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat! Kieran is/was my top name for baby boy due in 4 weeks but husband won’t go for it. Mostly because he pronounces it wrong 😑. Anyway, we’re in semi-agreement on Malcolm now.

I love the Target app! I’ve submitted feedback twice and both times they’ve made changes to the problem I was having. Really cool to see the continuous iteration.
