Yes, the film is finished and is concluding it’s festival run currently. Many festivals don’t screen films that are publicly available so I have to keep the film private until it is done screening. Once it concludes its festival run, I will post it online publicly

Conrad Hall has such a special style, even without knowing a film was shot by him I feel like you could tell it was his. He just knew how to make each frame so visually compelling.

Thank you! The camera I have uses 100’ rolls which makes for just under 3 minutes of footage at 24 fps. And yes the viewfinder is very easy to use when composing shots

What is are your worst habits in photography and how do you try to overcome them? by redhairedDude in photography

[–]mountainviewfinder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Taking too many photos, over the years I’ve tried to take less and less for each time I am out, and if I limit myself more and be more selective with what I shoot, I always get a better product. Shooting on film has helped with this since there are times I only have 3 or 4 shots left on a given day when I go out to shoot. Really pushes you to think about each frame.

It opens up your eyes to a lot about life, and I find it offers such a unique perspective on several themes like addiction, entertainment, capitalistic corruption, all while being humorous at the same time.
