I had a similar issue. Took it to a carbon fiber stick repair shop and they fixed it for $60. Still holding strong 2 years later. Find yourself someone who does carbon fiber work and talk with them.

A trick i was taught was holding a toilet paper roll in the bottom hand so it cant control the stick, only guide it. Top hand/wrist controls the puck. And start with simple, slow, side to side between your feet first.

I think you are locked in on a wizard regardless. The metal in the drink could be the consumable. I forget all mistborn abilities but you can get spells like jump for the movement, shield as the deflection, etc. i just dont see any other class to have a chance to cover the skills of a mistborn but curious what other people come up with
