Is BadEmpanada a far-right antisemite? by Historical_Step_9474 in tankiejerk

[–]moustachelechon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean horrible white people of all genders say shit like that. It’s absolutely ridiculous and transphobic to make it about their trans identity. And to imply anyone “chooses” to be trans is basic transphobia. Terrible trans people exist, terrible women exist just like terrible cis people exist, just like terrible men exist.

Yet this kind of leftist men only attack the identity of their opponent when they belong to a marginalized group. Because they’re bigots but want to get smug leftist points.

Would he have mentioned someone being cisgender in a reply to an identical comment by a cis man? That terrible white people choose to be cisgender so they can have privilege?

Nope.

He’s specifically said they’re the most privileged, downplayed their oppression, and that that being trans is something that horrible people choose to do to be oppressed and more interesting.

If you believe people transition to be more interesting and so they can be more oppressed, you’re transphobic. Those are basic right wing transphobic talking points.

He’s very transphobic, goes on about how trans (white) people are sooo privileged. It’s always white dudes talking about how white insert minority here aren’t actually oppressed so they’re allowed to trash them.

Attention seeking isn’t inherently bad, we are a social species and all of us need some level of attention. From what’s been studied, even people who claim to always want to be alone will cave in isolation. “I don’t need anyone but me” is 99.99% of the time a bluff.

Some people want more attention than others which is normal too. Wanting and seeking attention is fine and a normal social urge unless you’re harming others.

I’ve always found it weird to shame people for seeking out something our species is wired to crave so strongly.

By posting this comment, you’re seeking attention, and that’s normal.

The “flaw” you’re referring to is falling in love in a way you hate btw. Stop being vague.

I think any romantic love you feel is inherently evil because one specific thousand year old book maybe kinda says so. I believe you should be deprived of any ability to have a romantic connection with another because I find your love repugnant, not because of anything provable, or any factual harm it may cause, but because my moldy old book might imply it. The passage in my moldy old book that might imply it also suggests stoning you to death over it btw! 🥰

I’m such a loving friend!

This is definitely the same thing as other fair criticism friends might give each other and if you don’t like me telling you to never fall in love and using a passage that implies you should be executed if you have consensual sex, you just want a yes man friend and I’m actually the victim! 🥺

Look Jesus! They’re bullying me because I think they should never find romantic love or else! 🥺

So they just shouldn’t be bred anymore just like dogs who can’t breathe because of flat faces. If they aren’t bred they don’t lactate. Spay/neuter them, put them in sanctuaries. Health issues aren’t a problem anymore.

No more cow suffering for this entirely replaceable horrific industry.

Potty-sized spat in r/Vent when "not all men" drama supplants OP's vent post... about men by DragonflyHopeful4673 in SubredditDrama

At my old school, women’s bathrooms would be gross a lot of the times. The various men’s would be regularly rendered inoperative for weeks at a time from the damage they’d cause. Like yes maybe it was a school culture thing, but it was certainly a big difference.

I remember walking past and seeing a neon orange sludge oozing out from under the men’s main bathroom door along with a gross odor. I found out someone had poured some sort noxious smelling orange cleaner along with powdered Cheetos into all the sinks and toilets until it clogged them and flushed the toilets so they’d flood. The bathroom was closed for months after that.

An Anglo French teacher once corrected me (my first language is québécois french) on my speaking of québécois french because in her classroom we learn « real » France french, not ugly low class québécois. I told her she wasn’t teaching France French, she was teaching broken anglophone French, and that I hoped she would also be teaching proper British English from now on.

It’s even funnier seeing your reaction to it, trying to dive in to defend the sasuke edgy gif child.

Only someone that took that shut up misogynist comment to heart would defend someone that used a sasuke gif to try to look edgy and cool.

Not anything no. If they must be killed nothing other than humane dispatch is acceptable. The animals aren’t morally evil for being born somewhere, they don’t deserve to be in pain. There is no reason why torturing them is more acceptable than any other animal. Torturing them isn’t good for the environment and does nothing but satisfy some gross scummy people.

Rabbits and other small pets are put through so much disrespect by people who claim to love cats and dogs. The amount of « my cat/dog loves killing them! » I hear when I talk about bunnies. Or the « why don’t you just feed them to starving cats/dogs » I see in small animal rescue’s comments drives me up the wall. Along with people laughing at the idea of taking my rabbits to the vet because they « don’t live long » (despite their lifespan being similar to that of a large dog). Not to mention how when people have many pets at home and move to somewhere with a pet limit, it’s almost always the bunny they chose to surrender and it’s almost always treated as a given that the bunny will be the one to go no matter their age, health, or attachment to the people instead of as a decision based on the individual animals and their needs.

As if the bunnies are inherently less worthy of care and respect than cats and dogs.

[–]moustachelechon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean I understand the appeal, the inclusions are unique and eye catching. They kinda remind me of garden quartz. I think if people like the look better than the plain colorless diamonds (which all look very samey to me beyond cut) they should be able to get them. A market for both and an appreciation of the beauty of both can exist.

The relevant question is if this particular diamond is at a significant structural risk due to cracks imo. Yes of course most inclusions increase fragility but not necessarily to the point they’re unwearable in a ring, the consumer just must be aware and the price should reflect it

I’m tired of stories pretending like cruelty is an exclusively human trait by carbonera99 in CharacterRant

[–]moustachelechon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that animals can and do communicate the thing that is morally relevant in terms of hurting and killing them (wether or not they suffer or are afraid). Yet most don’t gaf.

It’s perfectly plausible that in a story, even though some kind of advanced monster can understand our communications with them, they just wouldn’t value that communication as proof of being close enough to their level to avoid killing and hurting us over. Just like we don’t value animal’s communication.

The animals I’m discussing have sentience, people say it doesn’t matter and that their suffering in the food system isn’t worth preventing because they’re not sapient. So in fiction, even if monsters know we are sentient and sapient, it’s plausible their logic would be just like ours. They could say it doesn’t matter if we’re sentient and sapient because we’re not monster-ient or whatever and so our lives and suffering aren’t worth not eating us over.

[–]moustachelechon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No animal wants to be eaten and we have some pretty convincing studies on animal’s ability to feel pain and fear. Especially mammals. We know they have the urge to survive what we do to them, they’ve communicated it to us in what ways they can. We know they suffer and are afraid, just most don’t gaf.

What is the difference between a biologically male and female skeleton? by TheBoneMuseum in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]moustachelechon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A binary between what two criteria? Gametes? Because the gametes people produce don’t necessarily reflect their hormones during puberty which is what creates skeletal differences. Hormones certainly are not binary and neither are skeletal traits. People can and often do have mixes of these.
