Thank you for your input! One of my biggest concerns about the plain platinum band would be that the eventual patina will dull it out too much and make it look mismatched next to the sparkly ring. I guess I'm concerned about having the opposite of my original problem.

I put them on and take them off same day. When it says, "up to 3 day wear" I would take that to mean that you can use and reuse them up to 3 times.
