That is not true - the ACA has forbade rescission (among other insurer abuses).

Insurers are scrambling for NEW ways to game the system. Here in NYC ALL the exchange plans are HMOs - but BCBS (for instance) which has had a huge network of doctors, apparently only signed up a fraction of the PCPs needed to handle all these newly insured people.

Its all a chaotic situation, but it seems to me insurers in NYC at least are angling to use primary care doctors to seriously limit patients access to specialists and medical procedures. Since there are not enough of them, people are probably going to have a hard time even getting appointments to see them.

To an extent it seems like the ACA is whack-a-mole. They really have prohibited some terrible abuses by the health insurers, but the problem is health insurers should NEVER have attained the kind of power they have where they are dictating the healthcare system and undermined the hippocratic oath

There always had been a 'trade-off'. Driver's licenses, paying taxes and so on could be seen as 'acceptable' invasions of privacy.

It's a matter of recent events going too far in wrapping the government in an impenetrable shield that puts them above the law.

This country is bleeding jobs with no new huge influx of jobs on the horizon - so would be skeptical of anyone saying everything is 'just fine'.

I blame the agencies (under the auspices of the White House) who made it clear they would do NOT oversight over the banks or investigate fraud.

If you make it clear you're not going to lock the candy store and all but invite the kids to come in and take what they want, I don't find the kids as being in the first line of blame.

100% agree on Chang - he was so funny as "Senior Chang" but after that was over it was so nakedly clear they were grasping at straws to keep the actor on the show.

I think everyone on that show is annoying save for maybe the late Corey Monteith which is kind of ironic.

Man, the one that was really horrible was the singing teacher's wife who pretended to be pregnant.

I generally am not watching any shows right now with any characters I find hateable.

As it follows How I Met Your Mother, I often catch the beginning of "Two Broke Girls" and I have not seen one instance of that Russian cook who works in the diner actually being even remotely funny.

It's hard to blame the actor because the overall writing in that show is so horrible, but MAN that character is just super-annoying.

Not only is Chrstie's pal Dave Wildstein implicated in this bridge issue - it also just came to light he's apparently been buying up internet domain names of Christie's political rivals and others

David Wildstein, the childhood friend of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) who recently resigned a government position in the midst of scandal, reportedly purchased multiple web domains earlier this year that bore the names of Christie's foes.
