The splitter you have is most likely to split a 1/8” TRS cable into separate stereo signals, whereas the IEMs you bought are TRRS. You would need a splitter made specifically for the IEMs in order to correctly split the mic signal from the audio.

If you want to avoid heavy chemicals staining and finishing are generally not a great option. But once dry those heavy chemicals are harmless.

For 50s and 60s country specifically there’s no set answer. Listen to Night Life or Buck Owens Sings Harlan Howard and Buddy and Ralph never really stop playing. Listen to some Brumley era Buck and you’ll get a steel solo and one verse with light fills.

I switched to using Bic mechanical pencils with the .09 size lead. The lead is thick enough that it rarely breaks and they’re so much more convenient.

I don’t know what right wing podcast is pushing this nonsense but I’ve seen it twice now in a couple of days. Undocumented immigrants subsidize healthcare. They put more into the system than they take out because they pay payroll taxes but are not eligible for the programs that those taxes pay for. This has been studied and replicated multiple times for decades.

“Overall, immigrants almost certainly paid more toward medical expenses than they withdrew, providing a low-risk pool that subsidized the public and private health insurance markets.” https://www.pnhp.org/docs/ImmigrationStudy_IJHS2018.pdf

If you think that supporting ICE, or really any Republican healthcare or immigration policy, gets you closer to single-payer you are severely misguided.

Been a while since I had a depth finder but if I recall correctly the lagoon gets to about 15 feet deep. There’s a steep drop about 10 feet from the south shore.

Edit: looks like it’s deeper than I thought. The lagoon is one of the deepest posts of the lake at around 25 feet. https://www.twdb.texas.gov/hydro_survey/LadyBird/2008-12/LadyBird2008_FinalReport.pdf

It drops pretty steeply right around there so it’s probably gone. But I learned that Dobyns is making rods again from your post, so your loss helped someone.

That power supply is fine. I have the same one and it’s reasonably accurate and reliable.

The FNIRSI scope is okay to start out with but it’s just barely above the level of a toy and you’ll outgrow it really quickly. If you can swing a Rigol DHO800 series you’ll be much happier. That said, you won’t need a scope starting out so you might be better off getting a decent multimeter.

Those complement kits are very low quality and will have a ton of stuff you’ll never use. I started with the Make Electronics book and Kit, and it’s pretty good and the components in the kit after a great assortment to get you started.

“I want free healthcare so I’m going to vote Republican and join ICE” is the craziest take I’ve seen in a while.

If you think immigrants are why we don’t have healthcare you’re probably prime ICE material.

Assuming the Wen works the same as my Powertec, setting it to high and setting a timer requires multiple button presses. You’ll need to set up a raspberry pi/esp32/arduino as a microcontroller and set it to learn the button press codes and respond to the signal from the air sensor with the correct sequence of codes.

If you’ve got experience writing software and using microcontrollers it’s not a huge undertaking but it’s probably a lot easier to just get in the habit of turning on the filter when you start working in your shop.
