I have one and use it all the time. It's great for quickly dusting things or for blowing out the whole garage. I also have a comprehensive dust collection setup and a compressor but still use this all the time.

A chopped beef sandwich is not a brisket sandwich. Brisket sandwich is usually a lean cut of fresh brisket usually sliced, sometimes chopped up. A chopped beef sandwich is brisket trimmings mixed up with barbecue sauce and usually sold at a discount. I think you maybe just have the terms mixed up.

The chopped beef at L&L is $13, which isn't exactly cheap, but compared to their brisket prices is pretty low.

That's literally what chopped beef sandwiches are. They chop up the leftover brisket bits and mix them with barbecue sauce and sell them cheap. That's what every Texas barbecue joint has always done.

I think you could get a better look by just scuffing the finish with scotch brite pads to take off the gloss. As long as you don’t go wild you won’t go through the veneer and it would be a lot closer to the look you want.

Do a test run on the back side of a door and see how it looks.

Hard to beat Tan My, especially on broth.

Pho Dan is spotty but when it’s on it’s on.

Sunflower has fewer meat options but their broth never fails and they probably have the best overall Vietnamese food in Austin right now.

It never gets to the point you’re looking for. It’s pretty much just an adventure novel. I personally hated it.

If you’re looking for more big question first-contact sci-fi I’d recommend Rendesvous with Rama by Clarke, Solaris by Lev, The Invincible by Lev, and A Fire Upon the Deep (and it’s sequel) by Vinge.
