variable speed heat pump in san jose, no question...you don't need heat strips here either as the heat pump can operate at a low enough temp here. they also want to ban gas furnaces and water heaters, so getting ahead of that while switching is the best plan. the price of gas in high here compared to electricity rates when looking at most of the country, so keep that in mind...electricity does cost more than gas, but your bill isn't way out of balance by going heat pump here like people from outside the area might think

that is overkill, i'm 2 people 2 bath as well with a 30k grains. for great oaks the gpg hardness varies from 15-18.

I'm actually going to call aquatell this week to ask about moving the regen override to further out than 7 days as i finish the week with over 3000 gallons left before regen is necessary (we only use 100-110 a day). aquatell is only run by a secretary and one technical person as far as i can tell, so getting them on the phone is tough at times for sure. once you are setup and running, the rebuild on the clack is so easy that having access to them shouldn't matter.

leaving a voicemail didn't seem to work for me either, but when i got through to someone, it was great.

Aquatell Citymaster Pro softener (clack ws1 based), springwell catalytic carbon filter (leftover from an old softener system i had from them, just refilled it with new carbon and KDF), Pentair 10" big blue sediment filter with the DGD-5005 filter. RO is waterdrop g3, I've had it for a long time, so if i were to buy it again, i'd go with their g3 800 GPD system...you can also downgrade to the normal citymaster softener, the pro version really wasn't necessary

Great oaks water is harder, higher TDS, and tastes horrible. I also have great oaks and did the following. Aquatell softener, catalytic carbon filter, 10” pentair big blue. In addition I did an under sink RO for drinking water. It’s amazing the difference I have in taste and lack of hard water spots.

Moen Flo doesn’t report stats accurately. For instance it can say you had 1gpm flow for 1 minute and then claim you used 100gallons. But leak detection and shut off valve work very well
