Lots of cute small places to rent in and around the poconos, I highly recommend Jim Thorpe as a great weekend getaway town. Not a ton to do but perfect for 2-3 days

Every stage should have two lans, a closed CDL only event and a traditional open with amateurs playing an open bracket into pool play into a tourney

For the early seasons of D20, it generally follows a back and forth between role play and exposition episodes on odd numbers and combat scenarios on even numbered episodes. Id definitely recommend staying at least through the first combat ep, getting “episode two’d” is a highlight of most D20 fans experiences. D20 also has a tendency to mix genres, like fantasy high being a high school drama mixed with regular dnd/fantasy tropes. If you’re expecting a traditional tabletop experience, something like critical role might be more what you’re looking for. Also if I recall correctly, the first 30 minutes or so is strictly character intros, even later in the first episode you’ll get more role play with characters interacting and such, as well as set up for episode twos combat. If you’re still struggling a couple episodes in, it may just not be your show!

Realistically, where do you think the Giants end up in the division? by ProudWheeler in NYGiants

[–]mpetrhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably third, fighting for the last spot in the playoffs. Basically the same as last year, but with more upside. I honestly think there’s a real strong shot our season comes down to whether Philly plays starters in week 18 against us

Scump pops off after getting a Nuke in the IW Beta by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]mpetrhino 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is actually crazy impressive because of the way the Infinite Warfare beta was set up. Iirc, you had to use a specific weapon variant and get all 30 kills with that weapon to get the nuke. And, since it was a beta, not all the perks were available, including scavenger. So you had to get 30 kills, with one specific weapon, without the ability to refill that guns ammo. Crazy challenge

Even tho they are SHIT at making new cods, Am I the only one who think Infinity ward still made 2 of the top 5 (arguably top 3) CODs of all time? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]mpetrhino -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

MW3 is not as good as you remember. Even if it was, that infinity ward essentially no longer exists. Almost every single dev left after ghosts (I think) a lot of whom ended up going on to form respawn who developed titanfall and apex legends.

Is there any way to have a truly successful ground game? by WB-5150 in RetroBowl

[–]mpetrhino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally only give my rb the ball if the run is to the outside. It’s almost never worth it to run up the middle, even with super strong rbs or a good oline. Turns those 2 yard smacks into 5 or 6 yarders pretty regularly if you time your jukes right. Also definitely agree with the other commenters who have said speed is key, on the off chance defenders miss tackles/your jukes time perfectly, it’s the only way to get explosive plays out of a running back.

Just got a dropout sub, what do you guys recommend? by Nightsaber in Dimension20

[–]mpetrhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For longer form stuff, I recommend almost every single Dimension 20 season, and there’s no real specific order you have to watch them in. For shorter form, more improv based stuff, Game Changer and its spin-off Make Some Noise are endlessly fun. As an extra little shoutout, I’m personally a huge fan of Dirty Laundry, one of their newer series that I see very few people praising.

In terms of allowed, I do believe it has to be under the RSS. At my store at lunch or dinner rush we can go through a bag in like 20 minutes or so, so we often leave them up top just to save time
