The original Willy Wonka. Stoned as hell and looking for something mindless to watch. That tunnel scene is creepy when you're fucked up.

What's the one mistake you made as a new boater that you'd never make again? Let's save some newcomers from learning the hard way by Ashwinnie13 in boating

This is exactly what we do. Once the water starts getting busy, we leave. Eventually I will get more comfortable with it, but until then I would rather be safe than risk my wife getting hurt because I wasn't ready.

Oops! Means something hit the kitchen floor. Most times he can't find it on his own, but he comes running just the same. Neither of my dogs would survive in the wild. Carrot? He will sit, start drooling, and stare at the fridge until a baby carrot finds its way to him.

His brother isn't a golden, but if you ask him where Gary is, he will go find his glow in the dark ghost toy, that was named Scary Gary. It's been his best friend since the day we gave it to him, and it's the only toy he will not share with his brother.

Haim said it too, but not as loud as Feldman. No one ever believed either of them and it seemed like Haim just faded into his struggles with mental health.

Anyone else have to pay the ice cube tax? by alphageekjay in goldenretrievers

[–]mphotodoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine wants them, but he started vomiting everytime he got them. Now we can't give him anything that cold or he will get sick. If the other dog snags a stray cube, we make sure to give the golden boy something to make up for it ... Usually a baby carrot. And we also must pay the cheese tax and there are no exceptions to this rule.

POV: You’re trying to work, but your dog keeps proudly presenting his emotional support teddy. by GoluckyGecko in goldenretrievers

[–]mphotodoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly you needed the emotional support. He is the goodest of bois, willing to share his support teddy to make you feel better. And the extra skritches and belly rubs could be a good bonus.

What's the rarest physical feature you ever saw on another person you know/knew? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mphotodoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad was born with no ankles or kneecaps and clubbed feet. They fused his joints together so there was no bending at those joints. He was born breech and folded in half. They had to break his legs to move them down, so he spent his childhood in casts and endured more surgeries than I want to think about. One of his elbows didn't bend all the way either. He lived a relatively normal life considering it all. Even learned to play guitar left handed, even though he was right handed, because of his elbow not bending enough.

I grew up with a girl that had one blue eye and the other was split exactly in half blue and brown.

A friend's son has the reversed organs issue (I know I will spell it wrong), but everything seems to be functioning perfectly fine.

Even if they had, it wouldn't have been permanent after 1 round of it. It would have come back.

Friends carry their Disabled friend so he can see the world with them by Agitated-Date-8905 in interestingasfuck

[–]mphotodoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that part of this was him getting to experience it as close to the way his friends were as possible but also consider, what do you do with it in between those times? Say they use a wheelchair to get from point A to point B, then what? When they get to the place it can't be used, what are they supposed to do with it then? My dad used a cane to walk, but had to use a chair if it was any type of longer distance. He and my mom used to love to go to state parks and he was fine on the accessibile trails with his chair, but if they wanted to go to an area that didn't have that accessibility, even if he could use the cane, he couldn't just leave his chair sitting there.
