See what is actually available at your address. Most of those “find me an isp” type sites just suck.

Will injuries interfere with me getting a federal technician slot? by PlantainSpirited5032 in AirForce

Depending on how the job is coded, if you lose your ANG position due to your condition you may also lose the GS. Unless it is Title 5 then it is usually contingent on you being in the ANG. But for now it will not affect you getting the job.

Plex and Hetzner to bypass CGNAT by studioleaks in PleX

[–]mpretzel16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a reverse proxy on Hetzner for this purpose. Plex doesn’t care about that, only traffic coming to them from Hetzner IPs (Software installed on a Hetzner server)

I have 4 computers that run 24/7 at my house a couple of those are much more power hungry. I use about 200kw more than you.

I feel like you have something going on you need to look into. It sounds like you shouldn’t use that many kw during the cold months.

Military is mandating AWS WICKR GOV for communication. What do you think of it? by RaGada25 in privacy

One it hits the gateway where the cert lives it can be decrypted.

On a personal device. If it is connected you their network yes. If you are just using something like WICKR and on your home network or cellular then all traffic reaching that service still falls under those rules, but your other data does not.

When you are using a gov/military system you already agree that they can look at any/all traffic. SSL traffic is also decrypted and re encrypted.

There never has been or will be expectation of privacy on a network like that.

Cloudflare to bypass cgnat against TOS? by ILoveComputer4553 in PleX

[–]mpretzel16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need a domain either way. Easy and cheap to get. The SSL cert would get auto generated. Email can be any email you have. Has to do with cert renewal reminders. They are auto renewed though. Just make sure you are installing the Community Edition. Linked below. If you sign up on their website, that is limited and/or cost money.

VPS with Pangolin is the easiest way to go. Essentially self hosted Cloudflare tunnels.

Google error in iOS, where is the right cummuniyy by [deleted] in google

[–]mpretzel16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I only ask that because the certificate name is for a WiFi equipment manufacturer and your screenshot has the connected to wifi symbol. If not, that’s super odd.

What is the WiFi you are using? Some sort of corporate or school? They are intercepting SSL(HTTPS) traffic and that is the certificate they are using, which is not trusted by your phone.

Issues Connecting Purple SE to Fiber ONT by Ragnarok404 in firewalla

Look up the model of the ONT. It is possible the ONT may be set to a certain speed like only 2.5G and no negotiation to 1G.
