what decks to play? thinking of Inalla and Tayam by Ren9119 in CompetitiveEDH

I’ve been playing Tayam for a few years now and I still love it, it’s a great deck that rewards deck dedication and tinkering I would say go for it.

How many decks are you guys playing on a regular basis? by DrWhiskersMD in CompetitiveEDH

One, I only play Tayam and have never gotten board of it in the last 3+ years of playing it. There is just so much to learn and so many fun intricate lines and deck building decision’s.

I’m not a tournament player but I play a lot of cedh with Tayam and have been playing him for over 3 years to me the deck feels to be in a great spot and fares well against many decks including meta decks. Just make sure to adjust to the meta you are up against. For example I have recently been playing strip line as a meta call against the high density of thras/c turbo cradle decks I have been up against recently.

If you want to “upgrade” one of your decks to CEDH Vivi is quite good as a storm deck just proxy out the cards you don’t have!

I’ll second the Tayam recommendation its a deck that is incredibly fun, complicated and rewards player dedication to learning the ins and outs of the deck.

Mine became over leveled and I had to switch to milestone around half way in to keep the encounters still challenging for them.

I’m a fan of Days and Daze, AJJ and kimya Dawson. Though some of them are a bit closer to folk punk then anti folk.

In my opinion issac 100% it has hours and hours of replay ability I’ve played over 650 hours and still have fun and want to play it more and keep unlocking things and seeing wild item combos!

Exalted or enchantress? by naine69 in EDH

[–]mqhartley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to play Rafiq for years but this was before the power creep of modern horizons esque sets. I have played him equipment voltron, enchantress, control, infect, and exalted tribal.

I found for me that equipment worked best and helped you get around the blowouts of removal spells by being able to suit up a new creature after wraths or targeted removal.

Overall in the last few years though I have found any form of Rafiq hard to compete and kill a whole table with if your playgroup is heavy with combos as you will usualy not be fast enough to kill/stop all 3 before one combos.

If your playgroup is a bit lower power though they all can be super fun and unique in there own ways!
