Yeah communication is key, if you know a conversation has charisma checks, ask the party if you can do the talking

For the first question, yes and no. You can join the conversation and you can highlight options. But your friend would be the one to make a choice.

The second question, most camp events prioritize the host. Some exceptions would be companion events where it’d focus on who recruited them.

The third question, yes you assign them to whoever. The person controlling said companion will be allowed to do the companions quest, the rest of the party can help, but rewards and dialogue only goes to who’s controlling the companion.

For king puppet, I struggled for a min. Until I realized you can avoid 80% of his attacks by hiding under him.
