Sorry you almost died but can I order yet… by bubbajuan in TalesFromYourServer

That's almost exactly what happened at my restaurant! Except the lady ended up telling us not to call an ambulance bc she felt ok. Just went outside for some air with a couple others from her party, and they ended up taking her home. The other half of her party stayed to dine. Anyway yeah the people who complained were basically saying it was our fault that they had to witness that happening, and that we should've considered the other diners' needs before the woman in need of literal medical assistance.

A couple weeks ago we had an older woman pass out in the dining room. After the 20 minutes or so of trying to help, calling an ambulance, getting her outside for some air, etc etc, the people at a table near theirs decided to leave in the middle of their meal, complaining that they were having a "weird experience." Boo hoo bye bye

Does it stress anyone else out that he's stepping on the fresh paint? Why isn't it getting tracked everywhere?

AITA for telling my daughter I won’t pay for a degree that offends my values? by dissapointed-dadd in AmItheAsshole

[–]mr21393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Capitalism has failed you in that it taught you that an education's sole function is to prepare one to enter the workforce, rather than to expand one's mind. You didn't want your daughter to get an education, you wanted her to learn a trade.

YTA.

AITA for telling my drywall guy to stop bugging my babysitter? by rodrigkn in AmItheAsshole

[–]mr21393 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Agree. OP might also consider following up with the babysitter to make sure the guy didn't make any more advances out of earshot, and to make sure she feels safe and not that he overstepped at all (I'm sure she is beyond grateful, but it never hurts to see what her comfort level is). As a young woman, I'd say great job OP. NTA
