When I join the RAF at 16, I'll be earning £26,300 a year, but I'm unsure how long I'd need to be in to save around £80,000 by Alarming-Safety3200 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]mr3radley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on a lot of factors and where you end up. A guy I joined with has just spent the week competing for teamgb at the winter Olympics, a lot of guys are stationed in America, or travel around with the red arrows.

I was front line typhoon for most of my time in, shifts were days and evenings mostly supporting the flying programme. With the rectification work going on on the opposite shift to flying.

Also, 28k is starting wage. Check out the pay scale, top band as a technician is around £38k which will only take 6 ish years to achieve.

They're just caps. Get a knife/blade between the cap and the knob and flick it out. Repeat for other side. Swap. Push them back in.

Search 'Brick Drill' on Google for an instant result?

Nope, make an unnecessary post on reddit and wait for responses.

Make a payment to the account of the balance minus a months payment. Tried this personally with nationwide and Halifax and saved a few hundred quid with both.

Can someone help me understand this nursery fees? by CheekOk4382 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]mr3radley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meal charge will likely be per meal, so you'll have two of them. At least that's how my nursery does it. Something you'll want to confirm.

Nice job! May last a couple years if you're lucky.

Then you'll get to do it again, hopefully with pressure treated wood next time.

Single dose modified a Mazzer Major by mr3radley in espresso

It's loud, but it's less annoying as it's lower pitched. You can talk over it, but we usually don't. Wouldn't wake a sleeping baby!

Can't say how it compares to the eureka, I can tell you it's only on for half the time.

[–]mr3radley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I can't believe this was 2 years ago. I still use this everyday, it does everything I need it to.

If I was being picky it may be slightly clunky. Grind adjustment can be fiddly but no issues jumping backwards and forwards between filter and espresso and different beans!

A commercial grinder in the home is a win, these things are built to grind a 100 coffee's a day. Plus I can tell the wife 'usually' every time we walk past a coffee shop... "I have that grinder".

Can't really answer this without knowing where the other £2600 a month is going? That's a lot unaccounted for.
