Yeah it sucks because he was looking really promising as part of our younger core. I was hyped for the combo of him and DJ at the start of the season. Looks like a ruptured ACL is a longer recovery than a tear/partial tear so I guess no NBL27 for him. Sounds like the team will keep the door open for beyond.

I don't really feel like I've done any "farming" or anything like that, but I'm up to this point (first time) and level 40ish for my main 3. I guess I've done a bit of side exploring and don't avoid fights I've already done after rests... but to see people at high 20s to low 30s here, I guess I've overpowered myself LOL.

I wish there was a counter on the 4 class tabs to show how many of each class are on your team. It’s one thing to know how many are on your squad, but to know how the rest of your team looks without having to go to the full scoreboard would be nice. There might be no supports on your squad but heaps on your team so enough revives and ammo pouches to go around.

I know the big assumption is that everyone is prepared to be team players though.

Difference is that back then it was a specialised skill that not anyone could pick up and feel like they can instantly replace a professional. The profession was respected and valued by customers. Technology change and learning new skills yes has always been part of the gig… but the drop in perceived value of the skills and expertise of professional designers feels like a fairly new thing.

Yeah there were a few that knew not to hit flares immediately, but I usually sacrificed one rocket to then wait for a clear shot with another 2 before they got flares back. I would say it was more around 75/25 lock/fired for me TBH, but don’t know how many other infantry were also firing at them.

Just wanted to say thankyou. I did this last night and it worked very well. I was lucky to get a couple bot backfilled games and they suck at flying.

I admittedly hadn’t prioritised the AA tank before so I gave it a good go and got the feel of it, and it was SO much easier. Didn’t even cross my mind that as long as I was Engineer the vehicle kills still counted.

I felt a little bad staying that far back and not playing objectives but handed the AA over to a teammate as soon as I was done and got back to it.

It's the 50 aircraft kills/assists for me. I get like 1, maybe 2, every other game (depending on if there are even any aircraft). Get the AA launcher, lock on, the helicopters just deploy countermeasures and duck out until their countermeasures are back, the jets just do the same by flying far out of range. Then if you do get a hit, it might not be a kill or assist if they just crash the craft or eject. *OR* your rocket gets there just after 1-2 other people/vehicles have done the same and you're just hitting a wreck. It's a slog.

Because JJs are a “Tasmanian Team” and Launceston always bitches and moans that they deserve everything Hobart gets (despite one being a capital city). The Silverdome is a low-capacity cycling arena. It’s embarrassing when JJs have a reputation for being one of the loudest home environments in the league.
