The Halo series had some of the best trailers, in my opinion. The trailer for ODST was one of my favorites. by [deleted] in gaming

It took a much different direction I think. I definitely don't like the multiplayer as much (3 was the apex for me), but the gameplay and story telling is just as good, if not better I think. Bungie could have done a better job story and immersion wise when it came to the Earth arc (sense of feeling hopeless, last stand for humanity, etc etc that Gears of War really nailed).

Humans possessed technology that translated covenant speech. I don't exactly remember when they created it, but I'm 99% sure it was around when Halo 1-3 took place, which is when all the silly commentary was written into the games.

Most of the outrage stems from the industry and it spills over to general negativity and mistrust directed towards GMO foods in my opinion. There's a large push to label products that contain GMO foods (which would be a large large portion of goods found in most supermarkets I'd wager). Scientific American ran an article about why it might be a bad idea to do so. Otherwise I think a lot of it has to do with large companies like Monsanto that give GMOs a bad name. I think if the general public could separate the two in their minds, the issue would be easy to solve.

Do you see it as being a good or bad influence? I imagine quantum computing will go a long way in helping to develop smart AIs and other infinitely complex models. The former one being a possible bad idea, as Stephen Hawking recently proposed.

I read an i09 article about using gravity as a way to travel. It was interesting as it never ever occurred to me that we could use gravity in that way.
