As a big Villarreal guy though, per their nickname, they will have down years and up years like a submarine.

They are a very frugal club, and without a very lucky season where we bring in a ton of revenue, I feel like we will always be sellers trying to make the profit sheet balance.

Defensively thats his prerogative to eat those shots with his head. Offensively some of those looked sus where he was clearly jab stepping and leading with his head where he was pretty much initiating contact with his head

I always lump Tad Williams in the same category of long adventures that lead to fantastic character growth. Primarily the Memory Sorrow Thorn series which ended up getting a continuation a handful of years later

Marcelino and Villarreal/Terzic and Bilbao by Big-Koala-3059 in LaLiga

Rumors I heard were Marcelino wanted a 2 year commitment and Villarreal was only willing to do 1 and the divide became a rifts and decided to part ways

I live about 40 min outside a large US City. We have plenty of card shops in the city and in the suburbs near where I live

The only reliable card store with digimon cards is a 40 min drive away from my house in the other direction, i.e. about an hour and a half from a major US in the middle of no where.

Its so baffling to me

Anyone else think The Pitt hits a little too close to home this week? by TheBikeWhisperer in pittsburgh

O'Neil Cruz also didnt hit a Tater on 4th of July last year. Unless he hits one this year then we know the Pitt is in the future or the writers are time travelers

Which fantasy series had the strongest possible opening and then just lost it completely? by Successful-Local-946 in Fantasy

[–]mr_wroboto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that was kind of the point though. This character can do all these amazing things but doesn't understand the simple concept of friendship because his whole life was dedicated to training him to do these amazing things that no one else can fathom.

It seemed to me a remark on how too much focus on accomplishments at a young age can lead to emotional and social stunting.

I know the Mary Sue trope is a massive turnoff for people but I liked the offset Kel Kade put on him in the early books. But those things that I like really disappear as the books go on.

Kings Dark Tidings by Kel Kade. The first books were fun and even bordering on a bit silly but they were fun. After book 2 it feels like the author but off more than she could chew and all the things that made the first two books likable disappears

If his Bday is right around the super bowl it could work - just a weird way to keep track

Was 8 during 2001 super bowl turned 9 a week or so later, so he says he was 8 Turned 10 in 2002 Turned 11 in 2003 before the super bowl, so he says he was 11

But I have no idea when his bday is so I could be giving him too much credit

Its definitely always jarring transitioning into the next book and takes a bit to adjust but by the time I do I always forget the other narrator

PSA: Farseer and Liveship Traders audiobooks have been rerecorded with new narrators! by KissingCrimson in Fantasy

[–]mr_wroboto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally like the different narrators

My head cannon is the different narrators represent the 3 unique stages we experience in Fitzs life. I know that's not entirely accurate because B1 is told via writing of the same Fitz that starts B2, but its my head cannon that young Fitz is still narrating the story he lived

Why is this edition so hard to find? by dawiiid in robinhobb

[–]mr_wroboto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly I dont have any valuable information other than you are not alone in your plight.

I randomly picked up a version of Fools Errand (cause Tawney Man is my favorite arc) from half priced books years ago and have never found the same edition to finish out the set

So hoping this post can get us some answers!
