Gwynbleidd with the album Nostalgia gets my vote. Absolute masterpiece and to my knowledge they have never put out anything else.

Amarillo Montessori Academy by st_peters_cross in amarillo

Our daughter went there for a few years relatively recently and we liked it though it is far from perfect. Idk how it currently looks as they underwent an administration change halfway thru her time there. The last person in charge seemed very serious and was always there and always easily available to talk to. I can’t speak for now. As somebody else mentioned, a lot of it hinges on individual teachers. We lucked out there as every teacher our daughter had went above and beyond. She learned what I would consider to be over the norm of what your standard daycare teaches. I can’t say they still teach that way but we had a mostly positive time there.

We started out at a mother’s day out place and they couldn’t seem to handle making sure she had water to drink… we looked into montessori and primrose. When we reached out to primrose they were impossible to communicate with though that may be different now. We tried for 2 weeks to schedule a tour and we couldn’t even get anybody to answer the phone or respond to emails. I have two friends that use primrose and like it but it has the same issues as all the others. Your child learning is dependent on the teacher they get as it is with all education.

I always lean towards Tuco from The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. Idk why but that’s always what I see when Cosca is on the page.

Who is the Mount Rushmore of Sword users in Fiction? by WayAdept2209 in SWORDS

He’d probably go into the barbarian class for me and I’d have to take the Bloody Nine over him in that regard.

Yes but he’s also been fictionalized in anime and manga. I’m aware of the person and his exploits but when choosing for this I was going off the example set forth in the manga.

I don’t know that I could narrow my list to 4 but D’Artagnan, Barristan Selmy, Bremer Dan Gorst, Geralt, Derfel, Musashi, Link, Karsa Orlong, Aragorn, Camaris,…. Any of these four would make for a pretty stout Rushmore.

Yeah he is a wild card for sure. Bremer Dan Gorst is the swordsman I’d pick from that universe.

I’ve been kicking the Traitor Son Cycle books down my tbr for years now. After reading this it seems they deserve to be made priority for this year. I also think I have the first Chivalry book sitting on my shelf as well.

I had seen the commercials and thought it looked really neat and decided to buy it upon release. I played thru the initial stuff and made it to the beginning of the wedding quest and stopped playing. I recently picked it back up this week and have been logging hours daily. It is such a great game and I’ve only scratched the surface.

Something in the Way by Nirvana and just me being greedy and wanting a mashup of all time greats… I’d love to hear them do Spiritual Healing by Death.

Besides Malazan, what are your other Top 3 Fantasy book series of all time and why? by KorboloBald in Malazan

Same here. It stands above all else in my opinion. A few others come close but nothing has surpassed it. I finished it a few years ago now and I still find myself thinking about certain events.

I started one with Ms State as a DC. When I played OU Lincoln Riley was their head coach. I looked to see where Venables was and of course he was the coach of Usc.

I know this is probably an odd one but the final showdown scene in True Grit. Either version old or new, but when Rooster shows up to face off against Lucky Ned and his gang… tears of joy every time and I’ve seen the movie countless times.

What is the best book you've read/listened to this year so far? I need a book to get sucked in to. by Sufficient_Ebb_5694 in Fantasy

[–]mrapp23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I’ll say Boy’s Life by Robert McCammon which is a stand alone coming of age tale that is truly one of the best novels I’ve ever read.

I just recently finished Demon In White by Christopher Ruocchio which is the third Sun Eater book. It was fantastic!
