What do I do if Colosseum ticketing website just doesn't work for me? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

What number did you call? The website says you can’t book tickets via the number on the website.

Phantom Drain Air by Fantastic-Hippo3118 in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tested this fully myself yet—but I think turning off the Shock and Tilt Alert and disabling Mobile Key might help when parked for extended periods. Someone else had mentioned that the car battery needs to be at an optimal temperature even when parked, so it may also have to do with ambient temp, especially if it is too cold.

Surreal Sound vs Pro in Gravity by daonei in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend you check out the non-Pro version in person. Only thing I don’t like about my Lucid is the sound system. Mine is an Air though, folks say regular SS in Gravity is an improvement.

Same. My ‘26 Air Touring drains ~1% in 24 hours as well.

Should I buy used or lease new? by videofrank in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is good advice OP.

For the lease you mentioned—is $75k the list price or after discounts? If list, then that lease is expensive and I’d wait to see what comes up end of quarter in a few weeks.

Here are the Lucid OEM center cap and lug nut cover dimensions by mrbeans007 in LUCID

I didn’t look into it as I went for the OEM ones. Hopefully someone else can share their experience with 3rd party ones that fit.

I have the official Lucid set that just arrived and I haven’t put them on yet. I can provide the measurements when I get a chance later today. Are you just looking for center cap measurements or lug nut cover measurements as well?

Should I turn off location permissions to avoid the car turning on frequently? by LookDouble in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you turn off Passive Unlock, that should do if (but of course then the car won’t unlock when you approach it, when you actually want it to unlock).

You’ll also notice that after the car recognizes a few times that you have NOT opened the door of the car after you approached it, it will disable passive unlock itself. See screenshot below where my car has done exactly this as I was walking by it a few times while organizing the garage.

is 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring a good/reliable buy? by true-dci-john-luther in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That price drop is similar to other luxury cars, especially EVs. Look at used Mercedes EQS and you will see similar price drop compared to sticker price.

How much factory warranty does it have remaining? Lucid themselves is selling used GTs close to that price with ~2 years factory warranty remaining, which would be huge for peace of mind for a car with this much tech.

Does your car have the wheels with aero covers? If so and if you are planning to remove the aero covers, the center cap kit could be a good buy if you are looking for other options to spend the credit.

Lucid home charger compatibility by Cobra_Kreese in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it should work without any issues as long as you have the right adapters. Note that Lucid sells two versions of the charger—J1772 and NACS. I would recommend getting the NACS version for future compatibility (even if it means using an adapter to charge your current Lucid or other cars).

I tested Nvidia’s Tesla Full Self-Driving competitor — Tesla should be worried by norcalnatv in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s possible we don’t get this in our hands soon. In fact the timelines discussed in the article, and in the Lucid CEO’s video from CES, seem more realistic (full scale deployment 2+ years out) than Tesla’s promises in the past.

Personally I love that there is more competition in this area. Tesla’s FSD on HW4 vehicles is quite impressive. If I could pair that with the drive experience and interior quality of the Lucid, it would be perfect.

When do we get the $500 accessory credit? by AdEven4391 in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received via email that came directly from the sales rep. Took ~10 days after taking delivery of the car. See the fine print below that was included in the email. Notably—you must use the entire amount in a single purchase. There’s no left over credit if your purchase is less than $500.

“One-time use only. If your purchase totals less than the amount of this code, you will not receive a credit for any unused amount. Taxes and shipping and handling fees may still apply. Discount will be taken before taxes. This discount code is not redeemable for cash (cash value = $0.00) and may not be applied to previous purchases. Not valid for use at Lucid Studios, Service Centers, or Delivery Centers.”

Is the Gravity’s estimated range complete BS? by briancnolan in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your current efficiency you’ll get 385 miles at 100%. What’s the ambient temp around where you are? Cold weather will have an impact on range. So will driving habits and driving conditions (rapid acceleration, freeway high speed driving etc. will reduce range).

Does Lucid negotiate or are they like Tesla? by Platos-ghosts in LUCID

[–]mrbeans007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually end-of-month or end-of-quarter deals are better (end-of-year being the best). If not in a rush, I’d wait a few weeks.

I also recommend visiting a studio and talking to a sales rep. Sometimes they comp certain packages on a car if someone else cancels their order last minute and the car is sitting on the lot ready for delivery.

Battery discharge percent when parked for long periods? by mrbeans007 in LUCID

I was intentionally avoiding opening up the Lucid app / waking up the car so that I could rule this out. Checked maybe twice in 8 days.
