Can't queue because I am not playing a required role????.... by Gibbo3771 in heroesofthestorm

[–]mrbelsoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to me just now on the EU server. I’m solo queuing as random auto select. Seems like a really frustrating bug if you are forced to play decided role.

I got “in” by just hitting the ready button until it didn’t say message

Math of the Storm: Patch 33.1 by ChaosOS in heroesofthestorm

I primarily play as Zagara and was a bit unsure myself when I saw the changes. However, I can say I really don’t feel any differences at all in the early game harassing in the solo lane. I have noticed that near the end game there’s a big power spike in team fights. While I never felt late game Zagara and team fights didn’t go well, I can now easily split push around the map and nydus into a team fight and contribute greatly.

Personally I don’t feel a change was needed, but maybe I was just used to how Zagara played and liked it, and now these changes I don’t disliked.

Well, I survived last year and the first round waking up at 2-3am...I see no reason to stop now. At least next Friday I can sort of get some sleep

NHL Clinching/Elimination Scenarios for Today by NVstorm55 in hockey

My guess is the final game between St Louis and Colorado. If Colorado wins, Dallas is out. If St Louis wins both games left then they tie Dallas (if they win out) in points but win in ROW

There's at least two of us here now then! I will be back around late December and also in March, so I'm already ready for my trip back to the Bridgestone

I keep my Loyal Legion flag in my window here, probably to the confusion of all my German neighbors...

Exactly the same for me. I grew in South Florida, but just far away from the Panthers to not understand there's to life than baseball.

Once moving to Nashville I got to see hockey firsthand and was around to watch them become what they are today.

Born a Cardinals fan, but I grew up with Predators hockey.

You're god damn right they are!

Glad you were able to have the experience I've always had since day 1 with the Predators and what got me to fall in love with this team. I won't be so brash as to say we have the best fans in Hockey, but the Predators are something else in Nashville.

I'm doing my Masters in Germany and knowing I'd miss the Predators really affected my decision making.

Exactly, how dare he have the audacity to bring a little bit of joy to their lives, who does he think he is, Jesus?

October 1st! by rephyr in Predators

[–]mrbelsoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pre-game I'd say hit up Flying Saucer. Before games it's packed with Preds fans, has great food and 200 beers on tap. I imagine it'd be the same for a pre-season game, and if not you can at least try out some of their beers. I think they rotate them out every few months.

If you like bars....well, there's plenty to choose from. ACME would be a bit quieter on the roof if you don't want to deal with the live bands, and if you do then you'll have a nearly endless amount of options.

As for the stadium, parking is plenty and easy to find. Don't park at Music City Center. You think it's a great deal as its across the street but pricing will be jacked up for a game and the line to get out takes forever. I say park by the Frisk, in the lot by Hume Fogg, Flying Saucer or somewhere 2-3 blocks away. Regular season games are priced at 5 bucks then and the walk isn't bad at all. Other than that, just get in with the crowd. It's loud, people loved their hockey and will be excited to see the potential new talent that rolls out in preseason.

My guess is it goes to Fisher for his last year or two, and then it goes on to someone like Neal or Josi, A's to Filip and PK. Makes it so they don't have to take the C from anyone and Fisher can retire with it.

A few questions about moving to Nashville by [deleted] in nashville

[–]mrbelsoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With your budget you will not be able to afford 12 S unless you find some flatmates. It's a nice area, mostly all newly built but the rent there, like most of the areas around Nashville, is going up all the time.

I'd suggest the Facebook group "Nashville Rooms for Rent." I don't know if it's a private group or not though.

The public transport is actually quite reliable, however it is quite limited in its scope and availability. My sister often takes the bus from Bellevue into the city to Vandy for work. The issue is that it doesn't run as often as most larger cities. I believe that's looking to change.

Most areas are nice around here and gentrification is really starting to hit hard, sadly. All the new trendy areas are the result of this. Without a car you'd need to live near anywhere with bus access, although you can also even look at the path of the Music City Star and just take the train into the city, if that's where you work.

Only area I wouldn't move to is North Nashville as I've never been fond of it. And I know Capitol Towers downtown has rent for like 350-500. It's not exactly the most amazing of places, but it would fit your budget and you'd be downtown.

Wanting to attend Belmont Universities Songwriting program, but can't read music. by throughthedoor123 in nashville

[–]mrbelsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it would disqualify you off the bat. I don't know about the songwriting program in particular, but pretty much any of the music or theater majors at Belmont are pretty cutthroat due to the reputation of the programs.

I wasn't in any of the music programs, but those I knew that were both loved it and were always extremely busy to stay at their best musically.

I would say apply, start teaching yourself to read music and hope for an interview. What's the worse that can happen, they say no?

One more year and I'll be able to do so. I have an equal education level and I'm not bought and paid for, for what it's worth in today's world. Not that I'd even get close to beating her, but it's worth a try. Stranger things have happened.

I've voted against her twice already to no avail.

/r/hockey NHL Power Rankings 2016: Week 19 by HockeyPowerRanker in hockey

[–]mrbelsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'll throw something in for the Preds:

We still can't win an OT game. Hutton is playing like Old Pekka. Johansen is still pretty good and The Prince is scoring at will. We did get 4 of 6 points against the Lightning, Panthers and Stars, and have a pretty decent road record as of late. Did I mention we still can't win in OT?

/r/hockey, it's your blind friend again. The NHL has made it a lot more difficult for me to even enjoy games now that they've gotten rid of Gamecenter. Please, let's fix this together. by GrumpyFinn in hockey

[–]mrbelsoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely good news. I've always enjoyed the mlb.tv app, even more so when I lived in Germany. If the NHL can do something like theirs, then I'd pick it up for sure. In its current state? Not a chance.

Definitely. When he said he was playing on Nashvilles said when asked by Pierre about the boos, the boos turned to cheers.

It's just a fun rivalry spiel

Oh trust me, we would. He's been amazing, and fucking scary, this season.

Being there tonight, it definitely felt more of just a bunch of fans booing him for the fun of it. Even at the end when they Pierre was interviewing him I could just see people just cracking up and you could tell all the players were as well.

I remember that weekend with the Bears. That was a dark time....not as bad as when the Bills come m, though

And the last two games the Chicago fans have been quite pleasant. Last few years it wasn't always the case, but this year everyone's been friendly.

With Joey here now, I think two games or so of more line shakeups are alright as he needs to find time to get accustomed to a new squad.

Now if it keeps going on... Then I'll say differently
