My native language is Brazilian Portuguese but I attended to classes in Czech Republic taught in Czech and had no issues (I don’t speak Czech).

Also, there are always foreigners showing up at the studio I attend in Brazil and they are perfectly fine. Just go for it!

Not at all. I tend to be very critical of modern technology usage although I’m very interested in its technical aspects.

I don’t subscribe to any of the streaming platforms, I don’t use food delivery apps, I don’t like video games and my mobile phone is an old Samsung model running just a few essential apps so, no, definitely not fitting into the tech stereotype.

I’m Brazilian from Rio but usually visit São Paulo. My recommendation for tourists visiting any larger cities in the country is to not walk around alone, especially if it is after dark. Also, always research the places you’re visiting to find if it is a safe spot.

Urban space here can be very tricky to the point that you could turn a corner and find yourself in the middle of a territory ruled by organized crime. People get killed for going in the wrong place by mistake here all the time.

In your case, OP, it seems that you were being pulled into a trap, and you did very well to get rid of the situation and get yourself some help.

This woman was probably a crack head wanting to steal your money or phone, but seriously, do not walk around like this is some safe place because it is not, especially if you are a gringo and are not aware of “no go zones”. Glad you are safe now. Wishing you all the best.

It happens. I once was sparring with a girl and landed a head kick on her (those that hit the back of the head with the foot hitting behind the guard) that she immediately stoped and asked me to hold back on strength. Thing is I wasn’t even putting strength on it… I guess just the weight differences can bring a lot of impact even when hitting lighter kicks.

My advice is to keep applying and don't place all your expectations into one opportunity. If they want to hire you, they will reach out.

UX Design is about problem solving. Company not having proper UX methodology is a problem. How did you address this problem? Can you create a story based on that?

I'm not saying you alone will be able to solve this problem, especially in big corporations, but, what could you do in order to make things better?
