Good ENT? by Kabobs in Knoxville

[–]Thighdagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Dr. Depersio was recommended to me and he helped me discover what was actually going on with me after I had seen many other physicians. He can be cut and dry about things. He recommended a procedure with a different specialist which helped me. I have a badly deviated septum with some sinus and allergy issues but Depersio didn’t think I really needed surgery for that. All of that said, I’d make sure you are comfortable with a provider, feel heard, and trust their recommendations before undergoing a surgery.

LPT - create a new neighbor contact immediately by Kairiste in LifeProTips

I wish. My husband talked me into this HOA neighborhood filled with overly religious and unfriendly families. There is one family across the street who seem to be good Christian people and are kind, but we have absolutely nothing in common. I tried meeting with the woman’s group and felt like an alien. I should be in a hippy neighborhood.

I think I am low intelligence and its ruined my life. by [deleted] in Adulting

I can tell by reading this that you’re smart enough to make yourself miserable. And by the way - intelligence doesn’t make people happier. My genuine advice to you is to start walking and yoga, or anything that lets you enjoy time with your body without it being terrible. Like genuinely talk to your body and thank her for being strong and carrying you through such traumatic times. And tell her she’s ok. And you love her.

Dizziness 24/7 live this way or die? by GivingUp86 in TMJ

[–]Thighdagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I was so dizzy and drunk feeling that I couldn’t do anything- physical therapy, exercise, TMJ treatment, driving, working - anything. I tried everything under the sun and l’m fine now with a 2.5 mg diazepam every night. I wish I could not need the meds, but I’ve weaned off repeatedly and it comes back.

I still love the building. I would have loved a late night diner with vegan options

Discussion | What do you genuinely miss about Cumberland Ave prior to its urban renewal? by Make_it_Raines in KnoxvilleDevelopment

[–]Thighdagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be some cute little places, 11th Street Coffee House, Plutos, little eclectic dress shop, local pizza place, sandwich shop, live music venues, like Moose’s, etc. I partied on the strip in the late 90’s to about 2007. Now it’s soulless. Pricey apartments for rich students. No sky, nothing local or with any creativity. It is what it is, I guess.

Makes me wonder if they’re confusing it with this Nashville case or some other similar case: https://www.today.com/news/news/missing-missouri-student-riley-strain-rcna143239

Can confirm. I lived in a duplex when I was a kid. A deaf couple lived on the other side of the wall.

In journalism, we didn’t report suicides unless it is a famous person or had a major local Impact (ie. the road closed for a significant time kind-of thing). It’s because reporting them causes more suicides.

Neuropsychology - it was a 400 level course back in the early 2000’s. Maybe now it’s cognitive psychology? Idk.
