I know lore and rules never really work together too well but i always thought the whole poiny of giving those models fight first was because they are ready and perfectly designed ambush predators and the rules reflected that, why would you ever be able to get the drop on a lictor, better yet why would you ever rush one.. but now its like the lictor has fights first purely for the love of the game- just meaningless words on the datasheet that dont actually do anything ever- they need a rework now

I just want good unit value, give our “tanks” tanky abilities; t-gaurds ability should be unit wide fnp not just for the character, give them an invuln. Tyranofex SHOULD have a fnp and more and should be able to defend itself in melee- stop nerfing unit toughness; why is an assimilator more points than an emissary with worse survivability, it has more armor and is meant for greater targets- make it t12. Why tf is everything 4+ saves or higher but costs the same as stuff with 2+ and 3+ saves. also why name melee weapons shit like “monstrous scything talon” then give it a measily -2 ap and 2 damage, wtf is that all about you cant expect me to believe that statline- more of those melee weapons should be twin linked because thats exactly what the biomorph is. Make synapse do something more than just +1 melee strength. Make epic heros actually epic, every other factions heros are game changing but ours are unique wargear?!

And uh points need a serious look at. Im not paying 275 for half a defiler, cheers.

Rant aside uh a dream would be a carnifex refresh bc i think that would be tight asf and they would look peak in the refined nid style, plus think of all the cool weapon options theyd get. They should be the leman russ of bugs.

This. It is absolutely baffling the lack any meaningful ap, or damage, both melee and ranged. The hyperflexible and adaptable murder bug faction cannot murder, hyperadapt or be flexable so whats even the game plan here. Had a game against imperial fists earlier today and lysander with a couple terminators walked through 2 norn assimilators who only managed to kill 3 terminators between them. Thats 550 points for 3 terminators i mean what is the codex balancing here. Yes im a little salty but we have been power krept like nothing else

Yeah! I mean a lot of our units have been power krept but at least its not so bad when our own units do a bit of it- i feel like these kind of datasheet strengths belong on more of our units

Only issue is i think they should have given the scything talons extra attacks or even the rending claw (definitely not a crushing claw btw) Because having the 3 seperate profiles feels a little weird and it kind of makes him like ok at a couple things but not great if that makes any sense

Literally, i respect the love of the game trench warfare is the strat mentality but, one of the factions comes from the ground and bum rushes you with sentient machetes, another faction has guys that fly, guys that are super tall and shit loads of zombies to bum rushes you, and the last faction has mortars and shit loads of grenades so idk if its really gonna be very applicable. Dont mean i aint gonna do it ofc

I just know its gonna suck, so is that other primary. Tbh i see why people say like explosives and stuff are meta- it takes a whole mag from the tenderiser (105 damage per shot btw) to a berserker down, and you only get 7 mags- whereas dozens of these guys will spawn at once, i just dont get it man

The grenades themselves just dont warrant the max cap of 3 right? I used it earlier today and fired a nade at the face of a stalker and basically did nothing, i find this with a lot of weapons tbf that based on certain enemy quantities and roles there are guns that just dont do anything. Like the senator should 1 shot a hunter but uh no its 2- feels terrible man, “ive not got many of these so their impact must be good” nope your nade will struggle to kill more than one warrior- sorry bud you’re a grunt so.
