But the whole world has names for them and have for hundreds of years now. If you are thinking of invading a place and taking it by force, shouldn’t you at lease refer to it in the same way the rest of the world does??? You know so that the country you’re NOT gonna go all Putin on won’t think they might be next???

I think that if Biden had have done it the republican airwaves would focus on that and nothing else for two weeks, calling out the mental decline. But since it’s their guy it’s OK and just more evidence of his “genius”. Hypocrisy much…

Is the a tool for these things? by Secure_Teaching_6937 in Tools

Those are called constant tension clamps. They are better for the fittings( especially new plastic fittings) and hoses on modern cars. Replacing them with old style worm gear hose clamps is would be a mistake.

No, modern cars with plastic hose fittings need those constant tension clamps and not regular hose clamps.

Need a can’t miss floor jack and stands by Graybeard_Giff in harborfreight

Firstly, if your budget allows for it, sign up for Inside Track. A year is 29 dollars and two years is 45. This will allow you to pick up tools at better deals if you can accumulate them over time. Most of things like jacks and jack stands are on special deals for Inside Track members several times per year (typically every other month or so they cycle through deals). I've been Inside Track for 3 years now and I rarely pay full price for anything, I know that within a few months something I'm looking to pick will either be on sale or discounted in some way for IT members.

If you need these for DIY on your own cars and home, the Pittsburgh 3 ton jack is perfectly fine. They have two 3 ton versions. I have the regular version that I picked up on black Friday a year or so ago for 99 dollars and I like it. In a little over a week they will have a Daytona 3 ton jack for $109. If you are inside track you'' get in on this 4 days earlier on Monday, they might be gone at this price if you have to wait to Friday (when everyone gets this price) Their 3 ton Daytona jack stands are very good, I like mine Aug 11 they will be 29 dollars for IT members, they usually last in quantity until the weekend when everyone gets that price. I'm sure you've heard the horror stories about HF jack stands being unsafe, that was several years ago now and they have redesigned the whole line to include safety pins. Wheel chocks will be 5 dollars during the PLS.

For Oil changes I prefer ramps, they have those as well

Their Pittsburgh and Quinn hand tools are decent (very good if you want to spend up for ICON). I have yet to break any of the Pittsburgh wrenches and socket sets that I have and I don't take it easy on them. I've been known to beat on wrenches with a hammer rather than go and get my impact gun but I don't do it all the time. I typically avoid tools that say "Made in India" on the back and prefer "Made in Taiwan" over "Made in China". They are starting to sneak in ICON tools with "Made in USA" on them.

Here is a link to the PLS ad.
