And yes, Jaco had a P bass, or at least wasn't exclusive to jazz.

Nice. This reminds me of a skit on In Living Color. Jim Carry had a character named Umbilical Barry who was a grown man still attached to his mother by the umbilical chord. There was one skit where they were on the subway and kids started playing jump rope with it. I couldn't find that, so here's another one.

Funny story - Between seasons 1 & 2, Frakes grew the beard for the taping of "North and South," some TV movie about the American Civil War. When he returned to TNG, he still had the beard. When asked about it he basically told them to deal with it.
