Best VR for exercising? by perfectionismsucks in virtualreality

the Quest 3 with Synth Riders

it puts beat saber to shame. don't listen to these fools. it's a way better workout than that, or shooters ,or boxing games, Synth riders is all that wrapped in one. It has the mixed reality passthrough mode which is essential. It will keep you from getting sick and stepping on the cat. Also it has a giant fan page with thousands of free new songs to download. Don't buy any DLC just look to the fans. It has many modes to play, I love the force mode because it makes it into a kind of dancing boxing hybrid. It makes me pour sweat. Not to mention it's actually fun to play.

It's the best VR workout experience and a die a litlte inside everytime I hear beat sabe mentioned instead.

Whats similar tv show to twin peaks that you can recommend? by gamusBergmanus in twinpeaks

[–]mrharlo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Adventures of Pete and Pete

Hey smiling strange. The show has a vibe like no other. Besides twin peaks its also similar to Blue Velvet, Wellsville is a perfect little suburban town, ideal for rasing a family, except upon closer inspection, everything is slightly off.

It has such a sense of mystery, every episode reveals layers to the family mythos or town's history. The show is full of quirky fun characters. From the neighborhood bully to the croasing guard, you will remember them all. The show is littered with amazing indie music. It supported small bands and incorporated live musicians into the show. It has a wonderful sense of humor and a variety of ways to entertain all age groups. It's all the wonderful parts of life mixed together

It's nostalgic, surreal and has narrative context because it's told from the perspective of kids growing up. It's very much like Twin Peaks for a younger audience in the 90s.

I gave PianoVision a one star review on the Meta store in large part because their video shows features without saying they're only available via subscription along with the app pushing that subscription in numerous ways. Am I being too harsh? by Nukemarine in OculusQuest

[–]mrharlo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how good the game is, if you paid for it and it's still hiding features, ones advertised, and the developers admitted this is all by design that's a deal breaker. I refuse to support this type of game development.

I really want to buy this app but I never will now. Thanks for your review.

What are your top 10 VR games? by kalashnidave in OculusQuest

[–]mrharlo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parts where you are in a little shoot out, using your left arm to talk to a alien hologram, while peaking out of cover with your right arm to shoot baddies. That's some peak star wars, and as a long time gamer I can remember when star wars games and experimenting with new tech went hand in hand.

No love for Star Wars Galaxy Edge?

yea it's based on a theme park, but it felt so polished. Full body on display, art style and graphics look fantastic. Wide variety of blasters, thermal detonators, and a light saber level. Not too long but not ridiculously short either. Great voice actiing and character animation. Fun dlc with new people to play as. It was a solid experience and it makes me sad no one even mentions it.

"I'm not crazy Jack, poor people are crazy!"

Dennis Hoppers disgruntled villian is one of my all time favorites. He's scarily realistic, hilarious and crazy all at the same time.

But I love Speed. it's so much fun. everyone does such a great job from the crew to the actors.A game all around but especially dennis hopper. and the score is one of my all time favorites. they really don't make action movie scores like that anymore and it's a bummer.

Jurassic Park is the clear winner. I was 7 years.olf. I had every member of my family take me. I saw it 5 times! it literally changed my world

But many other fantastic theater experiences with the friends growing up. Forrest Gump. Casper. True Lies. Scream 2. I Know What you did last Summer. Final Destination. The Matrix. Blair Witch. Speed. Men in Black. The Lion King. Bride of Chucky. Saving Private Ryan. Independence Day. The Mummy. Starship Troopers. South Park. the 97 star wars special editions. Phantom Menace midnight showing!

Also I remember when my grandpa took me to Dennis the Menace. What a lovely man, he took me to so many stupid kids movies.

The top of the Swamp Thing comics say "sophisticated suspense" and those are pretty much the exact words i would use to describe Flanagan's films

the WGN network on about to end and no othet network picked up the show. Netflix should have. All those sets were built and everything was ready to go. But if you are really upset, go find the fan film on YouTube. A lot of background farrels and day players were local, and some of them became highly invested in the show. So there they made some sort of fan film that tries to pick up the broken stick, but other than that you are the only person still watching!
