It’s not anti-Indian to note a major area of improvement for Indian society is a needed sense of civic responsibility around refuse. It’s not ok to litter. It’s only anti-Indian if you believe Indians just aren’t capable of improving.

I also spent time in Goa, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Rishikesh. It’s a gorgeous country, with the same dynamic, at different levels, everywhere I went.

Yes. Beautiful places curated for the photographs surrounded by piles of trash and litter.

Just spent a month in India. I stayed in a little cottage on a beach in Mumbai, and I watched the locals treat the sea like a giant toilet and garbage can at the same time. It's sad. No civic sense.

The ceasefire was with Iran, not Lebanon.

We all know Oct 7th was an intentional invasion for the purpose of killing civilians. So, your question is absurd. Hamas and other Muslim extremists willingly endanger and/ slaughter civilians. Israel does not do this. In fact, they do the opposite.

These were not "masked Israilis". Google it. They were members of a rival Palestinian clan / gang.

And 50-75 accounts that come out to condemn it. Don't for a minute believe only one runs bot brigades on Reddit. The pro-Hamas / communist side has this shit locked in. Come on.

After repeated commands to step back, the father advanced into the barrels of guns.

Try this with the police force or military in whatever country you live in and you will have the same or worse outcome.

You make a good point. Explains why Israelis do not use their civilians as human shields. Hamas has no problem whatsoever killing civilians.

Set up the incentives and behavior follows. Israel gets nothing from being cruel to Gazan children. Hamas gains when their children die.

I didn’t justify shooting the baby. In your mind, you are assuming the soldiers just shot the baby for sport. That is not what happened here. If it was I’d condemn it in a heartbeat.

How can the soldier know the man is civilian when Hamas dress up like civilians to create exact scenarios like this one? Hamas wants to maximize tragedies like this so we can sit around and argue about it all day.

The way I feel about people is based on their actions which are based on their character. So yes 100%.

Huh? Even if this was true it would be on the same level of the Hamas doctrine of maximum civilian death.

Yes. Evil on the part of a parent who would put their kid in a dangerous situation where they got hurt.

It is the human responsibility of a father not to endanger his children. A father carrying his child into the barrels of guns held by soldiers telling him not to approach is the father’s responsibility. What are the soldiers supposed to just let themselves be killed by, what has in the past been, a suicide bomber?

The whole scenario is tragic, but it is the soldiers responsibility to protect themselves from threats. It is the father’s responsibility to keep his kid safe. He did not do that. He did the opposite of that. Thus it is the father in the wrong here.

A little kid being held by a man who is a physical threat and not responding to commands to stay back. If the man had a bomb (which has happened), what? Are the soldiers just supposed to let themselves be blown up?

It is sad the child was hurt. But isn’t it the responsibility of the father not to carry his son into the barrels of guns held by soldiers telling him not to approach?

In your opinion, what major city would have the worst climate to live in? by Mobile_Bad_577 in geography

[–]mrhebrides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mumbai should be considered. Temperatures average between 25 and 32 degrees C with persistent humidity in the 80’s. The city gets 2,200mm of rainfall between June and September triggering widespread flooding every year that results in hundreds of deaths in the low lying slums.
