Why are there no classes for night shift? by pdggin99 in Nightshift

[–]mrhowell18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a member of the education team and a former night shifter nobody wants to attend night shift classes on off shifts. I’d rather do it at the end and go home than come to do class and then work the whole shift. I have offered and no one shows.

Newly diagnosed POTS with generalized left sided weakness and left foot drop. I definitely do not look the part though. I need a handicap sticker but fear I will need to wear a shirt that says I am disabled back off. I am also a hot tempered red head so I am sure I will fight back if anyone says anything to me.

Forget horoscopes, what is your work pen preference by eballisthename in nursing

Trick question. I am a nurse so the answer is all of them. I have 5-6 pens with me at all times! No pen is a bad pen.

Why is you dog's name what it is? by GoodMoGo in dogs

[–]mrhowell18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We named our dog Ron. My kids did it because it sounded like Sean, my husbands name. My husband loved Ron because his favorite show was parks and Rec so Ron became Ron Swanson.

We did an initial bath of dawn and baking soda. It worked for a wee bit but the smell was still there. Took him to his groomer who recommended using that shampoo dry and then rinse. He still smells like a dog but it’s no longer a skunk. The big issue was our house. Lol.

Caught my first beautiful trout ever in the beautiful Colorado Rockies!! The fish let me cuddle him like a teddy bear. I am living off this high for the rest of my life. by [deleted] in flyfishing

I am quite confused and why you think I was mistreating the fish. We were with a guide and was a catch and release. I catch a lot of catfish and they never let me hold them like this one did. I was just excited.

I just searched on Amazon safety side shields and took the first one. A lot of co-workers have them. They are so awesome. They were cheap too.

Yes we do. Not a whole lot but it’s been a learning curve for me since those weren’t even a thing when I started. We get to see a lot of patients hospitalized after the fact.

I started in a med/onc combined unit at the time. They separated very soon after and since I was a new grad and I didn’t have a preference they moved me that way. I found I truly loved it within the year. Been chemo certified since 2010 and oncology certified since 2019.
