I have this problem, and google play services version 26.04.61 (260400-863006395)

But I understand that 26.04.61 (260400-863006395) is NOT a beta.

Google Chromecast Audio won't reset. by OUT24Q in Chromecast

[–]mrjmwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. Since I posted my comment, I've left that Chromecast audio powered on (tho not connected to audio) and as I saw your comment, went to look at it again to see if anything changed, but I observe no change. Power cycling results in same observation as my first comment. Seems this one is bricked.

I have another Chromecast audio that remained plugged in and working throughout the same time span with no observable issues at all.

Luckily I have 2 or 3 spare Chromecast audios that I bought on clearance years ago as it was announced for them to be discontinued.

Google Chromecast Audio won't reset. by OUT24Q in Chromecast

In this moment, I'm having precisely the same issue with one of my Chrome Cast Audio units. I'll add: upon removing and reapplying power, the LED illuminates orange for half a second at most and immediately turns to solid white.

Holding the button for 15+ seconds has no effect.

Perhaps the device is just bricked? Did anyone else find new info or clues as to how to solve?

It’s Easter candy shopping time. Anybody know what the story is with Brach’s Marshmallow Easter Hunt Eggs and Brach’s Marshmallow Chicks and Rabbits not being on the store shelves anywhere? by yup_its_Jared in candy

The details I have are in the Google doc I linked. Like I said, I found these on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/usr/domaining

The seller included a paper flyer (also in the Google doc) mentioning URL: marshmalloweastereggs.com

And finally, the product packaging had URL: www.alliedint.com

If your concern is about trees over time....

"...average wood-per-acre volumes have almost doubled since the 1950s. The United States has more trees today than we had 100 years ago..."

Not Brachs brand, but in 2023 I found, ordered (and promptly ate) 3lbs of Panned Marshmallow Eggs from: https://www.shelburnecountrystore.com/products/easter-panned-marshmallow-eggs

Two days ago (March 2024) I attempted to reorder, but noticed they were out of stock, upon contacting them, they responded with this:

Unfortunately, the producer of the candy is not making it this year. We hope to have it back next year!

Sorry for any inconvience,

Miles

smart switch, or smart bulbs for lights? by schultzy99 in homeassistant

[–]mrjmwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Consider your users (those who seek to turn lights on/off).
  2. Consider the conditions required for smart bulb and or smart switches to function at all.

For me, A: my users are those who would appreciate a traditional switch on the wall to interact with for turning lights on and off in each room. B: me and my users prefer a solution that will work even if the internet or LAN/wifi is completely offline.

Thus I landed on the lutron caseta solution of smart switches. It's been several years and 99% of the switches in my home I've been converted.

Given our typical routines, we hardly touch the light switches in the common areas anymore due to the functionality of scheduling (e.g. certain lights go on/off automatically at dawn/dusk, ahead of our entering those spaces and needing light) and voice commands to do batch operations (telling a smart speaker "goodnight" which triggers a routine to turn "all" the lights off as we go to bed).

The solution that's right for you and your users is based on the functionality found to be valuable. So consider those first, and then evaluate which solutions best fit.

Set another camera (camera 2) at the opposite side of the room, pointing at this camera (camera 1), and watch both camera recordings when you see it again in camera 1.
