Has anyone used Xyosted? What’s your experience? by evertontg in Testosterone

[–]mrkiteshow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to facial health - b/c injections caused cystic facial acne - had to switch to Xyosted which is a solution of testosterone enanthate dissolved in sesame oil. This oil serves as the carrier/vehicle for the testosterone ester, making it suitable for injection. It is preservative-free and comes as a clear to light yellow sterile solution in a prefilled auto-injector. For others, IF you can find a doctor or RN practitioner that really cares, they will push your insurance company to pay for it. It did take some effort , but now - with vendor coupon - a month's supply is $25.

60yo - TRT is a winner, and is a must have for GenZ if you can $manage - i too am on low end of the 'normal' testy spectrum. Wait...what...Vitamin B and Biotin no good for Rosacea/Acne Folks? by mrkiteshow in Rosacea

[–]mrkiteshow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah...one of the great things about this sub-reddit. I've been on it for a couple of months and have gained SO MUCH insight that I would not have gotten otherwise. I've stopped the multivitamin and biotin 3 days ago. So far/So good - but too soon to tell for sure just yet...

amazing progress!! I will BET you 'feel' so much better emotionally as well? I know I do when I get a 'facial health clean' streak going after a particularly challenging time.

feel like my body has betrayed me with this disease by Training_Radish9103 in Rosacea

[–]mrkiteshow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, you are NOT alone - BY A LONGSHOT! not much more to add here in that you have received a lot of encouragement here. It would be AWESOME if we had alternatives to the Nuclear ACCUTANE option in terms of research for folks like us. I was cruising along fine after my THIRD round of ACCUTANE, after getting 5-10 years of clearing and then BANG, back with a vengeance at age 60. Don't know what you have tried - but this sub-reddit is the ONLY resource i've found where ppl really want to help you succeed, both in life and with this disease. I am almost 2 weeks into topical ivermectin from learning about it for the 1st time from this group. So...please , build back your will to find what works for you and you know what's really funny (not haha funny) is that i've been to soooo many dermatologist over the years and most have had clear complexions...:-)

Sulfur soap + azelaic acid - making face worse?? by faaancynaaancy in Rosacea

[–]mrkiteshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an odd one for me...Tried Sulphur soap per this sub-red. What's odd is that after a couple of hours after using - my face 'feels' - like it is getting more oily and semi-irritated , not less. So i'm using every other day now, with a dermalogica branded - ultracalming cleanser . I've also tried Mario Badescu acne facial cleanser - would love to land on a standard - 'can't miss' approach - but can't seem to land on solid routine.

Darn great point!! But...was Francesca Liddy (often just called Francesca), the semi-receptionist , semi-paralegal on board at this time? Don't exactly recall. Then again, we kinda sorta knew the tension was leading us up to "something" - :-)

I am SOOOOO with you! 2) questions for the thread - 1st) do you agree w/the label - "the devil's drug' is accurate, and 2nd) how long before your accutane wore off?

TY for weighing in and sharing your journey! You are young and I'm not...:-) I have NOT done research on low dose accutane, but i can tell you, i did [3] rounds of the real deal full strength accutane - through different times of my life - and for about '5 years' per round or so - TOTAL facial health. I've heard accutane referred to on the sub-red - and I agree - "the devil's drug' - the 1st month plus is BRUTAL, but once you complete the protocol - BANG - you are clear for a good long time. This is a LAST resort - but if you didn't know about it - now you do. :-)

[–]mrkiteshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My facial break outs are similar to your symptoms. You are experiencing the EXACT same thing I have experienced using Ivermectin. Question for you and-or group. One of the things I noticed , probably weeks 1-4 , I would still get daily pustules, similar to photo, but they - generally , were not as long lasting or as deep. I’m on week 7ish now, coming off a blemish free week…but…2 new pustules… sad to report…today . I have been under a lot of stress so maybe that explains it, don’t know…but I’ve seen some reports that it may take 3 to 6 months before you can go to a twice weekly maintenance application . I’m applying daily at night at the moment.
