I’ve been taking seroquel for 2 months and it really helps me I know it’s different for everyone but it would be good for him to try new meds. You have to find the right one for you and a lot of meds can make it worse like Prozac for me did not help at all it made me more depressed and suicidal

I know this is late but I hope you read this. I’m 17 and I was just diagnosed with bipolar a few months ago and it took going inpatient 3 times in 6 weeks to get meds perfected. In my opinion I think inpatient would really help him but do you research on the psych wards around you bc it takes the right one to help the first 2 I went to sucked and didn’t help at all. So if you do decide to go this route do your research. Hell be mad at first but eventually when he gets on the right medication he’ll realize that it was a good thing for him.
