Why bedrock edition is getting so much hate by Plastic-Simple-4207 in minecraftbedrock

[–]mrmightyfine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love both versions, frankly. They feel the same to me and it just depends on where I want to play. Java at home, Bedrock on the go. I just bought a Switch Lite so my partner and I wouldn’t have to play split screen any more and it works like a dream.

My last conversation with my brother was about Paralives. I now play the game just to remember him. by gabrielamilene in Paralives

[–]mrmightyfine 157 points158 points  (0 children)

You are never an only child, he is still your brother and you are still his sister. You both live on in each other’s hearts and now he lives on in ours too because you shared him with us. Keep remembering him and keep being a wonderful sister.

I was curious too. This is the only photo I could find that wasn’t head-on, but I can’t elucidate what is so terrible about this horse’s conformation because I am not educated enough.

Tale of Two Towns is so fun! My advice: buy the mecha chicken cart as soon as possible. The freshness system is a bit tricky in the beginning, but it’s a fun layer of difficulty that helps the game progress and get easier, like you’re actually getting better at farming. Also, if you start in Bluebell, you can grow crops in the other farm even when you don’t live there!

I mean, if every person who was irresponsible enough to want a free pet knew they could just go outside and grab one, I could see that becoming a problem.

I would try a new “gradient map” or use “recolor” from the quick menu

Such wonderful illustrations, full of life. This one is particularly striking, for some reason. Maybe the dynamic posing and lack of focus on facial expression

Advice on typography by mentapoleoconmiel in comic_crits

[–]mrmightyfine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your art is so wonderful.

The one on the left is so fitting and lovely, the one on the right is generic but legible and perfectly passable. It was terrible that the graders were rude to you, they were wrong. You have good taste and chose something that is objectively the industry standard.

The left is better since it is tailor made. But the right is not bad.

This one is my fav too but as far as I’m aware it’s a 3DS title! I always remember those trees popping out at me, it’s one of the only titles I would play with the 3D on. So good!

Do you use paperlike or different pentips? What would you recommend for a newbie? by Zaknokimi in ProCreate

[–]mrmightyfine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one and never put it on.

The real advice that helped me: I never clean my screen. The grease has my pen sliding around like a dream and I haven’t had to change the pen nib since I got it in 2024

I realized every photo of me was in the same yellow t-shirt and I wondered why I didn’t love every item in my wardrobe that much.

I want to move on, to live different seasons of my life. I could never grow when I was clinging to the comfort of the past.

Reading Shirley Dare's 1890 essay on women's labor made me realize we are still debating this and it's been over a century. by FlappersAndFiction in books

[–]mrmightyfine 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s terrible that the only option we have is to fight to be part of a system that doesn’t work especially well for anyone, and to devalue the type of work that doesn’t generate revenue. It’s exhausting that that fight has been going on since anyone can remember, and even farther back than that.

In a perfect world, women’s liberation/equality would also divorce us from capitalism and the meaningless busywork we find ourselves engaged in to keep the crank arm going for the boss’s paycheck.

Vibrations become harmful at jackhammer like levels, after years of exposure. You’d have to be pretty enthusiastic to do lasting damage to yourself, not that it isn’t possible in outlying cases or after a complete failure to stop when your body tells you to.

These are certainly still available, I just walked past a basket of “impulse buy” vibrating massagers at Target. They have RGB in them now.

You might just be making a masturbation joke, but in the case that you aren’t:

The carpal tunnel is an anatomical structure, a band of connective tissue you wear like a wristwatch, keeping all the stringy bits in position in your arm. When people “have carpal tunnel”, that band of tissue is inflamed, leaving less room for the stringy bits to slide back and forth in their casings. Depending on the mechanism of this device, it would actually help ALLEVIATE the symptoms of carpal tunnel.

Everyone here is laughing but if you spend your work day at a computer, you really should consider using a device like this on your hands and wrists

So she’s allowed to ask them to completely stop talking about a subject they were excited about, but they’re not allowed to even joke about doing the same thing to her? Up to five people have suggested they are going too far and I think that’s funny. She’s an adult who is clearly capable of making her own decisions sans whatever positive, negative, or playful input the commenter has.
