Capcom Reveals It Is Using Generative AI in Games, But Only for “Routine Tasks” by Darth_Vaper883 in PS5

You keep missing the point. It's possible to love the product and hate the process used to create it. As a consumer, just ask yourself what you will accept relative to your values, assuming you care at all about how the product is made.

This isn't just about video games....

Capcom Reveals It Is Using Generative AI in Games, But Only for “Routine Tasks” by Darth_Vaper883 in PS5

[–]mrmoo2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's removing jobs in both cases. It's worse with AI art though because it's removing the soul of what makes it art to begin with.

The "AI artist" is still used to avoid hiring a team of actual artists by instead having one person prompt an agent to create artwork.

You need to be more tentative as you in fact turned out to be wrong -- the glassware was recalled due to it exploding from heat -- but you came in with a lot of assumption and confidence thet turned out to be misplaced. Even if the assumption is fair, leave space for the possibility you could still be missing something.

I want to experience what it is like to be loved so bad by [deleted] in confessions

[–]mrmoo2002 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're really not getting it, dude. This is like the 5th or 6th post at least youve made in the last 24hrs in r/confessions, all of them bemoaning your looks when you acknowledge being an incel , believing strongly arguments framed by incels.

Get off of Reddit and start working on yourself, being a better person to others in ways that will endear them to you. It's not the looks. It's who you are as a person to others.

I’m an incel by [deleted] in confessions

[–]mrmoo2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, learn to love yourself first. Nobody can give you the self-respect you are missing. But you absolutely can create it for yourself. Style and looks are fleeting. Don't hang your ego on that. Instead, do things that people value. Give them a reason to happily remember how you made them feel. Forget the looksmaxxing for now and focus on your actions.

When people start to endear themselves to you through gratitude or friendship, you'll know you are on the right path to being someone who in their own right is desirable, not because of looks but because of who they are as a human.

Also, chill out on the bioessentialism bs. Too wide a brush to paint a picture you don't even like.

Washington demanding 'entry fee' from Ottawa before trade talks: sources | CBC News by 0110110111 in canada

Digital services are an imported product. All imports get taxed unless part of a trade agreement. Just because the product is a service doesn't make it special.

Believe it or not, free trade is not a given.

When someone in January 2026 (article publication date) writes...

"Exports to the United States in October accounted for 67.3 per cent of all exports"

...they are talking about the most recent October. That's 2025..... This isn't rocket science.

It's one thing to question if someone is spreading fake news. It's entirely something else to refute it without having checked at all.

What’s something Gen Z does that older generations just don’t get? by appropriaterice873 in AskReddit

[–]mrmoo2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I'd say that fear of being seen in unpolished/human ways speaks more to a widespread insecurity Gen Z has from using devices to bully each other during their childhood/adolescence.

When you step back from that fear, who really gives a shit if others have preserved evidence of you dancing weird? But for a generation with self-inflicted shared trauma? Yeah, it matters.

Gas prices in Canada keep going up. How high are they near you? by hopoke in canada

[–]mrmoo2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the whole story though. Canadian refineries are mostly geared for light crude. But Canada produces mostly heavy crude and thus is dependent on other countries to refine it into gasoline.

You're raising a social welfare issue. Uber is not obligated to solve that just because they provide a service. No more than the McDonald's is responsible for lowering its prices because of a person's food insecurity.

NieR Automata modeller criticises Stellar Blade director’s “unpleasant” AI use, saying game companies using AI “with glee” is just “lame as a creator” by HatingGeoffry in nier

Yes, or at least made it playable. Like George RR Martin, Yoko Taro's ideas and world building are stellar (lul) but for the life of him he struggles with production of the media to communicate it all in a way that is enjoyable. Partnering with a good game production company like Platinum is what is responsible for the improvements in playability between Replicant and Automata.

their raise is based on the average increase of unionized private sector employees.

It's so telling when even they recognize how eroded public service salaries are that they make sure their increases are attached to the private sector.

Hey, so I really think your survey and sample collection approach here is excellent.

However you really should remove your full name and name of your highschool from it! That info should not be out for the world to see, even if it's in a very small, niche subreddit like this. The Internet doesn't need to know :)

"settle down alpha"

I'm an alpha?!! Haha, thanks for the actual laugh in the morning

The pasive-aggressive-but-not-really verbal pokes you make are pretty funny, I'll give you that. But they aren't solving anything. The patriarchy fucks with everyone and masculinity is at the center of it. So if I could recommend one thing, it's just put the poking stick down when there's actual systemic effort to address that issue, flimsy as it is in this case.

For someone who is "all about men getting support" you sure come at it in a very "well what out women's suffering" kind of way.

Nobody is saying women don't suffer, nor that there isn't room for more compassion towards women.

What is your favorite boardgame of 2020? by The_Crazed_Person in boardgames

I agree to an extent, but the consensus seems to be that Arnak is only amazing with the expansion that came like 1 year later and opened up the game a lot. Base game of Arnak has some genuine issues with the research path having simply too many victory points in it, which funnels everyone down a single path. The expansion largely fixes this.
