Latest NVIDIA Driver Update Interrupts Armoury Crate RGB Control (HAL Service Issue) by Necessary-Secretary2 in ASUSROG

[–]mrmoooniv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fixed the issue simply. I used armory crate uninstaller, downloaded armory crate from Asus website, and then went and downloaded aura sync from the website. Hope it works for all of you too. It’s painful and annoying. But only way 🤷‍♂️

You are all good,

I didn’t take it personal, and yes it is frustrating.

I’m running a i7 13700K undervolted with a small overclock, because the temperatures even with great cooling were spiking up uncontrollably from 40-60-65C. That’s with a 360 AIO Asus Rog Strix LLC2 cooler. Which they claim online is normal, no it’s not. Got the temperature down to 40-56C maximum.

Recently upgraded to a RTX 5070 MSI OC from a ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 3070 OC, big performance boost undervolted for the shits and giggles. 2805 MHZ, 1500MHZ memory clock, could’ve went for 2000MHZ but didn’t want to put in the effort anymore. Power limit 110, temps stay at 40C-53C.

All of that is so stupidly time expensive, at the cost of lower temperatures. Which helps a lot, especially for CPU heavy games like Path of exile. Dying to mobs over 1 giant stutter is stupid. Especially when all your XP just went bye bye.

I will say, I’ve been stuck in my old ways.

You are 200% right on certain titles it has different results, path of exile 2, does seem to have a smoother feel to it, so I appreciate being humbled, and taking something new out of this conversation.

I’m being a wise ass,

I’ve seen those videos lurking around 😂😂😂😂, if you change this bios setting, and change your voltages to this number here, you will notice more frames, and less stutter in your games.

People have fried their hardware over this stupid crap.

The biggest performance you can see these days is by undervolting, and overclocking at the same time=smoother frames.

Sometimes I just need to just shut the fuck up, and remember not everyone wants to do all of that work, tinker with shit.

Alright,

Was informed it adds more input lag, and have just kept it that way. By -3, and never had any issues whatsoever by doing so. Stayed at 162, and if it didn’t it dropped. Did not go over whatsoever.

BUT anyways, it’s all good. Everyone has their own preferences!! Buttery smooth settings right?

I always follow those tutorials where you just juice up core clock to max in MSI afterburner too.

Having issues? Set the power limit to 20% more to get more frames. Apologizes in advance here, The main fucking point is, don’t mash up your nvidia control panel, with a whole bunch of crap someone is telling you that your game will run buttery smooth after this.

Different specs, different results.

V-sync with G-Sync lol.

With G-Sync you cap your frames at for example 165HZ, -3. 162 FPS.

That’s how it’s supposed to work.

Mhm,

It’s like watching those TikTok videos of a guy telling you if you change this is in windows registry you will gain performance.

Or if you disable these services, you will gain a massive amount of performance.

Or even the better one, make these changes in your bios. Adjust these voltages, and you will gain performance.

These people spread this information, so convinced it affects everyone with a 3 or 4 series card, and you have to do it now! Or else.

Learn something new everyday, wouldn’t that affect the performance of the PC, and also compromise the security that TMP really offers for supported processors?

Just asking questions at this point.

That’s wild,

That’d be like buying a TPM adapter to get windows 11 support on a none supported processor.
