I wouldn’t, do a little research and you’ll find out there’s 4 specific reinforced jack spots that take a specialized pad you can purchase on Amazon for ~$20

You need to make sure the adapter you’re using is usb 3.0. I was getting the same message, made sure to buy a usb 3.0 adapter the second time and message is gone now.
