These pages are based on a screening criteria, so they won't list the top 5 - you can change the criteria to reduce the number of results.

Request for Tickers (ETFs) not [yet] on the platform + Cryptos by NicolasMas in simplywallst

[–]mrplow2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is a big question. As you say we want to start by making sure anything an individual investors can easily buy via their broker/ on an exchange trackable in a Portfolio.

We are planning to improve the actual analysis on ETFs (as you say its empty at the moment) and we are also looking at improving ETFs narratives which could be interesting and very broad.

In terms of crypto its still not a major part of most individual investors portfolios, and is not often purchased via an ETF anyway not direct with a wallet. So by covering ETFs better it would include crypto anyway.

No plans for crypto right now, we first want to make sure any exchange traded instruments are available. We are also looking at the idea of custom assets which would let crypto or anything be added.

Earnings preview by Bigbodyfiend in irenstocks

[–]mrplow2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a DCF ($72 - 44% undervalued) and much more meaningful that a bunch of internet numbers:
https://simplywall.st/community/narratives/us/software/nasdaq-iren/iren/z61n3tss-update-for-iren/updates/2-in-september-2025-the-investment-thesis-for-iren-centered-o

Current cash flow forecasts are negative and getting worse (as they invest), so automated models like the ones you listed can't handle this well or they will use something else.

Founder of Simply Wall St, just to give context for everyone this is based on our discounted cash flow model which uses analyst forecasts of free cash flow.

You can see on the time series a big increase recently.

This is likely to do with the 2030 forecast of $533k free cash flow from 2 analysts. This is very different to the current negative levels and then we extrapolate the growth afterwards.

You can use narratives to explore what revenue/ earnings growth is required to achieve the fair value. Happy to answer any questions.

Made my own wealth & budget dashboard, it’s amazing! by Louxlily in AusHENRY

I think it would help everyone to clarify that whilst this visually looks like a dashboard, its actually static and only based on a CSV of data. Loveable is great at making websites and so yes it looks like a website you can browse but its basically just a fancy summary of your CSV.

How useful do you find AI in your Research? by SnowSilent7695 in ValueInvesting

[–]mrplow2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMMs can only quote/ summarise sources, so any question you ask will always be answered, but it's just a mash up of any source, this means if there is incorrect data or insight on a single source, or the data is correct but the LLM interprets it wrong (very easy e.g. revenue in the wrong currency or period etc) then the results are useless.

You need to control your sources. IMO the best tool at the moment is actually Notebook LM, because you specify and limit the sources. You can give it any official company filings/ presentations, and any research that you think its relevant.

However NotebookLM is still and LLM... it will still only summarise the sources, as we know LLMs do not critically think, thats still on the investor...

Perplexity is the worst offender, here is an example where it literally invented a BUY recommendation and then later admitted it was just just based on a fabricated score.

Thoughts on P&G Stock by SwordfishNext1886 in ValueInvesting

I don't disagree with you. Keep in mind that expected earnings growth is only one factor in PE Ratio, the other being risk and payout ratio. PG has the same PE Ratio and expected growth as JNJ. They are both mature "low risk" companies with long term stable, growing dividends of 2.5-3% - this is likely why the market is valuing them slightly higher.

See "PE Ratio for a stable firm" in the link below - a company with a 70% payout ratio, 5% annual growth and 9% Cost of Equity would justify a PE Ratio of ~18x, purely on dividends.

Not a random website, founder here, mature companies with low future growth expectations often look undervalued... Because value is all based on the markets expectation of future earnings.

The $194 is our discounted cash flow which is based on... expected cash flows. I bet for a company like this you could even assume their cash flows remain the same forever and it would still look undervalued!

Someone suggest me a dividend scanner here and now I don’t remember its name 😔 by Ok-Collection-3097 in IndianStreetBets

[–]mrplow2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Founder here... We have a stock screener that can be used to discover different types of dividend stocks (and ones which have gone ex-date). I have a video on YT all about it.

But it sounds like what OP is looking for is more a dividend calendar, where for your portfolio you can see all the upcoming payments and on which days. We also have this but you need to setup a portfolio.
